Recap of the last thread

The Court delivered the verdict on H's Judicial Review Appeal and the verdict was DISMISSED! A video of the Judge giving the verdict can be found in the Media Gallery, for those who would like to enjoy it again.

After the Court decision, the ex-Spare gave the BBC an interview, where he proceeded to whine and moan his way through. He then followed this up with a statement on the Sussex Royal website. Yesterday, Smeg posted a black and white photo of the back of Ginger Whinger and flatpacks on her Instagram.

That's pretty much all that happened in the previous thread, which flew by very quickly.

In the thread before the previous thread, Smeg gave a sickening performance on Jamie Kern Lima's podcast, who then appeared on Smeg's podcast. Numerous video clips are in the media gallery.

Don’t know how true it is but The Times has reported that ‘unlike previous controlled interviews with the Duke, nothing was off-limits in his sit down with journalist Nada Tawfik. (who?) She later reported that Harry appeared agitated, tapping his foot during their chat, and that she was caught off guard by how 'candid and forthcoming' he was in the circumstances.’

Right, so with zero journalistic or interviewing experience to my name, I would have challenged him on the damning but sweeping statements he made regarding the RF and the Royal Household allegedly stitching him up over his security requests. Or actually, any of the numerous grievances he whinged on about. All could have and should have been challenged by any journalist worth their salt.

Ms Tawfik (who ever she is) apparently sat with him (unwilling to use the term ‘interviewed’ as she merely asked questions, listened to his answers and moved on to the next question), for over half an hour, and didn’t delve into any of his responses. How is that classed as an interview with a BBC journalist about a topic that has generated worldwide interest?

What a wasted opportunity by the BBC.

That is so weird to me. Your taxes are keeping the BBC service running yet you have to pay more for it? We've got a whole suite of government-owned channels (broadcaster is called Doordarshan - BBC's counterpart), they're all free to air even on private DTH services.

Not that I want my government to get any ideas


Tawfik? That's the first time I've seen that name spelled like that. Apparently more common Egypt side.

I didn't dare to see the interview, but I do have journalistic/interviewing experience and was quite good at it apparently (made people tell me stuff they shouldn't have). If it was unchallenged, it wasn't an interview.

I've been on the other side and prepared questions for PR interviews as well, there are ways to not make the PR aspect of it not so obvious.

Their agenda is fulfilled, now they can post as many corrections as they'd like, face as much criticism as we can throw at them - it means zero. The harm is done, they've got whatever they wanted.

I'd just like to understand how the folks at BBC felt confident enough to essentially go against their own government (not the BRF - I know they're very anti-BRF) which funds/owns them.

I hope they finally get removed from the RF website, and from the COS. I'm finding my level of anger towards them is only growing, and I know it shouldn't matter so much to me. There are no other 'celebrities' that I follow, or care about really (apart from JK but that's different). They just infuriate me and encapsulate everything that's wrong with the world - entitled, spoiled, PR mad, rich yet untalented, vain and narcs.

This isn't helping my blood pressure....

I know exactly what you mean . That an uber privileged , spoilt, evil , massively entitled twit takes up our head space is ridiculous but he’s so awful and he thinks he has a right to sponge off our taxes, it beggars belief!

On a serious note, in light of Harry's serious allegations about an establishment stitch up, he has to be removed from COS. He can't be trusted with information that has security implications and I don't think it's good enough to say 'he won't be called up' anymore.
