Just laughing with my husband about my late mum. She always got her facts wrong. Bright as a button at 89 but names were never her strong point.

She was amazed that Harry was marrying ‘a German woman’.

It took us hours to work out she thought he was marrying Angela Merkel. 🙄

I have some catching up to do here...
I have volunteered here in the UK, and I call a couple of ladies every 2 days.
Today I called Margaret who is 87.
She is normally so polite.
Today I asked how do you feel about Harry and Meghan.
She went silent for a bit.
Then she said:
I think they are both F***ING C***TS
I was a bit shocked, but then laughed loads!!!

Looking at the Clarence House IG I noticed they have 1.1m followers. Sussex Royal has dropped to 1.2m (from 1.3m) and Kensington Royal has increased to 1.6m
That photo of PC and Louis is just gorgeous (and a real “look what you’re missing”)
This one, too, from when Louis was younger.

Can I just say, without wanting to sound callous at all, a lot of the discussion and defence of Harry revolves around the fact that Diana died when he was young and he had to walk in the funeral procession.

However, nobody references William in the same way. He is only 2 years older than Harry. He had just turned 15 and Harry was just days before his 13th birthday. So Harry's hate of the press and his behaviour always comes back to Diana.

But similarly William has had press intrusion - long lens photographers filming Kate topless and publishing in foreign papers, years and years of calling her lazy and work shy, paparazzis after her family - yet he doesn't cry Diana every time, and nobody seems to think the same logic would apply to him?!

Hello Everyone. I've been a lurker from thread #12. Fellow castaway from Digital Spy. I will most likely continue to lurk but I just wanted to thank you all for keeping me highly entertained during lock down. Keep up the excellent work.

I fucking love the Sussexes right now.

Keeping my mind off lockdown and allowing me to feel absolutely superior to a pair of multimillionaires.

Keep on with the bad decision making you former Royals - you do a great job reminding everyone that the chavs on Jeremy Kyle have nothing on you grifters.

When can we demand a DNA test??

When can we have Graham in to talk to them in a condescending manner while Jeremy Kyle shouts ”that’s your granny crying over there!”

I didn't have to subscribe either but here it is:

Meghan the narcissist gets her day in court, but she’s too blind to see she’s already lost

Camilla Long

Sunday April 26 2020, 12.01am, The Sunday Times

The trial of the decade kicked off on Friday morning, with much excited fiddling online — a pre-trial hearing conducted, “trickily”, on Microsoft Teams. In one window, the duchess’s little Italian waiter QC appeared, with a plume of glossy turkey hair. In another, there was the silent, clipped, gravedigger QC for the defence, representing The Mail on Sunday and its case for printing Thomas Markle’s letter. Both were in rooms that had been blurred out, while the purring judge — a man not unlike Alan Rickman — sat in a normal Harry Potter panelled courtroom.

Along with 80 or so other journalists, I watched the whole thing from start to finish. It felt vast and important, like Leveson part two. At one point, it lookedless like a trial of the matter at hand and more like a trial of the press in general. If Prince Harry has his way, it will be a monstrous, all-consuming, neverending rapture: a terrible reckoning, a Book of Revelation for the people he hates. For Meghan it will involve an end-times level of self-promotion and publicity. Guess what? She will take the stand. It is their dream circus.

Be in no doubt: this is a circus. It seemed astonishing to me that these skilled and pre-eminent men, with 100 years of experience between them, should waste any time discussing a story of such effervescing Marie Antoinettish frippery and thin-skinned triviality. There was talk of “post-Naomi Campbell jurisprudence” and a comic moment when they stopped to consider whether Meghan’s “favourite snack”, avocados, fuelled “human rights abuses, drought and murder”. That was before we got to the 75 pages of articles that had displeased the couple. First impression: neither the duchess nor Harry can take criticism.

Second impression: for someone who doesn’t like to talk about her private life, the duchess sure does want to talk about it. Before this trial, we knew little about her relationship with her grim Honey Bear father; now there’s little we don’t. The hearing made reference to a whole 33 further pages of mostly personal content she made available 10 days ago, including texts to her father from Meghan and Harry before their wedding.

The messages add absolutely nothing. In one, she appears concerned for her father’s “health and safety”. In another, she seems most interested in getting “security” to the hospital where he’s just had heart surgery, presumably to stop him talking to the press. So why release them? Perhaps to provide a mirage of openness, give the impression she’s happy to lay it all out when she isn’t. If anything, the couple come across as unhealthily obsessed with the press and their own image.

But then, the duchess is someone who thinks she can win at anything; be the centre of all attention; have the moral upper hand in any dispute. Her own ego blinds her; it even blinds the people working for her, like her poor QC struggling to keep up with the vastness of her pompous submissions. I am no fan of the royal family, and in many ways I’d hoped she would expose them as the pale, stale charisma vacuums they are, but at least they have the humility to know when to stop, instead of throwing themselves into this extraordinary trial and its ramifications — the hundreds of pages of overshare, plus the added negative publicity that will never end.

Who wins is irrelevant — in many ways she has already lost. There will be a day’s headlines if she prevails after two, three, even four weeks of lashing stories about her destructive ambition and unedifying obsession with her image. Meanwhile she is reducing the pair of them to supermarket magazine fodder, telling Harry he’s getting better, when he is in fact getting worse. She will brush the whole trial aside as yet another injustice, whatever happens: “See what they made me do,” she will say, by way of explaining the roomfuls of dirty linen about to be laundered. It’s as mad as a box of prancing kippers.

By the end of it, Harry will secretly wish to go back to the relative anonymity of being a royal, living in peace at Frogmore, able to fully disappear once he’s clocked out of the day’s work, just like a normal person would. Royals are the most anonymous celebs in the world — Prince William, for example, lives in obscurity. We don’t know where he buys his clothes, gets his food, even where he goes on holiday. He had a whole job and none of us knew anything about it. As he appeared outside his house on Thursday to clap the NHS, I realised I didn’t even know whether he would like his own front door. All those riches, and all that power and no effort — it is the dream, and Harry is probably already missing it.

Cringe and Ginge will be so smug and unbearable if they win against the mail.
It won't matter. The press wins either way re revenue and will get their revenge, served cold and often in the years ahead.

Can I just make a minor speech? *clears throat*
I love all you guys, each and every one. I never thought I'd find a forum/thread that got my somewhat warped and often rude humour, but here you are, my comrades in arms in this war of truth and facts versus bovine excrement.
We will boot in the doors of Hollywood pretention and kick seven shades of shite out of ginger twattishness!
This is the hill we will die on.

Zenchick hope this makes sense

Had they sorted out something with HMQ, Prince Charles etc, before they announced they were stepping back because they wanted a quieter life for their family, less press intrusion, more charity work with other charities around the world, I for one would have wished them all the luck in the world & thought no more of it.

But they didn’t, they announced in Jan they were going & they did it all in on Instagram! “This is what is going to happen“ “this is what we expect” “We will withdrawn from official duties & make lots of money” “whilst getting our security paid for”
In so doing they apparently blindsided the rest of the family, & very much disrespected two 90+ year olds in the process. It’s really grown up behaviour, like picking fights on Facebook 🤡

They are dealing with an institution that has run for hundreds of years, it isn’t going to change just because they demand things their own way. It has its way of doing things and expectations set upon it, ie you can’t make millions of dollars selling the Royal Family “brand“.

They are not the Beckhams, or the Clooneys, Members of the RF do not make millions selling aftershave, perfume, dresses coffee etc etc. Hence why they were prevented from using “SussexRoyal” '

The RF have to be seen to be impartial, they stay above politics, they are not commercialised, & you are either a working Royal or your not, there is no half way house because Royalty & Celebrity are two completely different animals

They said they wanted to step back, withdraw from public life, set up a charity, do lots of good things. However it seems a lot of their ideas are aimed at making themselves a lot of money, different from what they said they were going to do. ie not courting press attn, leaking stories & try to make lots of money using their link to the RF. Hence why Duke & Duchess is constantly being rammed down everyone’s throats

Does anyone know Is this a charity they are launching or a money making platform?

I think some people see them as having abandoned the country, (there is this weird image of a 12 year old walking behind his mothers coffin & that seems to be the image stuck in people’s heads in relation to Harry) but even so they stuck 2 fingers up & left, whilst making lots of noise about how they are victims in all this.
They blame us for being racist, & blame the press who have called them out for their shady, tone deaf behaviour. This appears to be the reason behind their refusal to co-operate with the press, whilst over shadowing a 94 year olds birthday, & possibly trying to paint themselves in a good light because of the court case

They don’t like being challenged on the glaringly obvious mistakes, ie the rest of the story.

Buckets full of dishonesty, hypocrisy, & the newspapers called them out on it, ie sprout on about saving the planet whilst taking 4 private jets in less than a week. Abandoning the annual Marine Memorial Ceremony so they can shmoose with a load of very rich people & network which added to the belief their plan is not to go & live a nice quiet life, but to become it appears very, very rich. Posting pictures and forgetting to mention the elephants was tethered & drugged (if I remember rightly!)

How can you post memes about being kind to others, when your own apparent behaviour falls far short in many peoples eyes. How do you expect people to take you seriously! Practice what you preach and all that!

There currently appears to be a Grand Canyon size hole in the RF, & people are shocked & surprised by what is going on, especially given the closeness of the two princes, I‘m pretty sure the real Harry has been hidden very well by slick PR up until this point, hence the surprise.

It has also become apparent that the plan never was to disappear & live quietly as they said, but to throw themselves out to the wolves in celebrity land & make lots of money. They are more at risk of being papped etc in the US than they are here in the UK, & they could have done so much good, but it appears the green folding stuff is more important.

In amongst all this there is a pandemic, killing thousands & everything that goes with this whole new world we are living in. The thing is they don’t actually appear to have noticed thats happening. They continue to make it all about them, & now we have papped photos which despite their protestations that they weren’t papped, were! The only thing being fed there was the ego.

The way they have handled all this, even if you just base it’s on just their Instagram posts is totally tone deaf to what is going on around them & the level of entitlement & disrespect is jaw dropping.

its a right bloody mess!

Love that the Daily Mail have changed their headline from this...

To this - if you click on above link, the headline now reads...

Privacy-obsessed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rush to tell their favourite media about birthday Zoom chat with the Queen and Archie - even though Palace said all Royals’ should keep their calls discreet.

I am following todays hearing on Joshua Rosenberg's Twitter feed. He's very sensible (married to 'Mad Mel' Phillips who is actually a fine person imho) unlike Byline Investigates who have an obvious agenda and basically hate the "tabloid press". You know, the usual brew of third rate academic lawyers (ten a penny), pissed off celebrities caught with their cocks in the help and snobs pretending to be righteous (or the BBC to give them an acronym).

Its a shit show really. Clearly Megsy's pricey lawyers Schillings (bit of a shadow of their former selves since the Libel Laws were reformed and ceased to be lucrative and glamorous) have over-egged her claim in an effort to make it a case about the values of the Mail (rather than breaches of privacy and copyright), and no doubt in the expectation it would never go to trial. When this kicked off 38megatons was widely seen as untouchable; now this is literally true Associated are going to take her claim roll it into a tube and do to her with it what Vlad the Impaler did to his enemies with a sharp stake.

After it has been "trimmed" in a reserved judgment (ie in maybe a few weeks time at most) both parties will claim is a victory there will be documentary disclosure then witness statements and we will see if Her Megnesses 5 "friends" are going to seriously suggest they were acting without her knowledge. Then she is either going to have to fold and pay Associated Costs (or agree to pose naked on Page 3 with her Further and Better Particulars on display) or face cross-examination by the lethal Anthony White QC.

This is what happens when stupid and privileged people think the law is a sensible way to conduct a feud.

Get in the Pringles bitches its gonna be a stormy night.......

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread about Serena’s husband tweeting about narcissists.
It was way back in January - interesting use of the word “thrive”...
(apologies if already posted, but I’ve not seen it before.)

oh wow, from outside the uk they just seem like a sweet philanthropic couple and we only see the headlines about a reporter calling their kid a monkey and stuff like that.
Oh honey you need to do some reading of these threads. The links are there.
They were planning their escape as soon as migraine got an A in her pregnancy test. All that trademarking and setting up their sussexroyal website for flogging(selling) royally trademarked goods was all done while she was pregnant with the little hostage, the proof is there on the dates of the applications. Within months of the wedding and likely plotted even before the wedding.30 miliion we spent on those cunts getting hitched and another 5 million doing up a mansion for them.
They tried to nick everything royal and our Queen slapped their arses and told them "Love you guys, but fuck off. You're not gettingto cherry pick red carpet events with me paying for your designer clothes cos it's a "royal gig", no way josé "

long time lurker on this thread, curious to know why people in the U.K don't like meaghan markle and Harry. Can someone explain?

or a run-through
Basically because they are a pair of cunts who screwed the UK out of millions then fecked orf with the family silver in their filthy hands.

Apologies if this has been posted

Hello Zenchick - a hundred reasons. But to understand it might be a good idea to work you way thru the old threads. Welcome btw 👋

From a BBC article today referring to Jenny, the nurse from New Zealand who treated Boris in ICU:

"Asked why she chose not return home to New Zealand in the wake of the pandemic, despite being on holiday there as the virus began to strike around the world, she said she felt a "real sense of duty" to help fight it in the UK.

She said: "I have lived here for 10 years and I have worked in NHS for that amount of time and I'm one of the Sisters on the unit, a leader on the unit.

"It wasn't an option not to come back and I think by being over here and helping over here I'm hoping one day to get back to New Zealand.""

The commitment and loyalty shown to the NHS and the country, and she's not even one of our own. Only highlights the level of twatitude from a certain Ginge.
