Recap of the salient points so far:

We still don't like the 6s behaviour and attitude.

They are going to spend Christmas "nesting" at home - we are very glad they aren't coming over to bother HM.

We advised people not to follow JCMH's advice and give up your job if you weren't happy - most people don't have "only £30m" in the bank to fall back on.

We discussed charities a lot and most only donate to smaller ones where we know that most of the money goes to the cause and which aren't registered somewhere they only have to give 5%.

Anusol is still in a job despite the totally (un)biased documentary. The accompanying podcast has been indefinitely delayed.

It is the time of year to be jolly and share Christmas cards - @Chita and @freda19 have done some wonderful ones for us, the Cambridges and Cornwalls have shared their cards. Silence from the 6s for a change.

We appreciated the work of @Yel and all the other mods on the forum.

We tried to unravel the links between buttercup and the QCT.

@mardymare summarised LadyC videos for us (which we are very grateful for).

@Wu Tien and others have done some Christmassy songs and @wisebutwild has been opening the advent calendar for us.

Catherine held a lovely Carol service we can't wait to see on the TV, with lots of other Royals in attendance.

We like the Body Language Guy videos

We think the Harkles are running out of money as there are a lot of recycled stories in the press lately.

We are still waiting to hear if ANL are going to appeal the judgement - and what their punishment will be.

We love @JAR21 and @mardymare for the work they do - they are our archivists on the thread - please help them by adding screen shots of any tweets etc that you post so that if they are deleted before they get added to the Wiki they can still be added.

I've voted that I think they will produce a card but they won't be on it - or if they are, it will be just them and no children.
They can't compete with the real live Cambridge children with real faces, and every time they present Fark to us they get it wrong. He remains stunted, frozen in time wearing the same clothes, and seems to have acquired 2 left arms. Best give it a miss.
Lil has never been seen and if she was pictured in a card there'd be widespread scepticism. The time for showing their children has been and gone, and that ship has sailed. This is probably H&M's intention, as if they had wanted their children to be seen they would certainly have been seen by now I.m.o.

First post. Catching up on all these threads. Feel like I have found my people. Not sure if I can add anything new to any of these although there was an article in the Daily Mail about William and Catherine saying they will be sending Christmas gifts for the kids. I was like sheesh! How is this news? All its telling us is that W&C are nice people (which we already knew). Notice how there's been no word about the twunts in Montdeceito sending any presents back this way? That's because they're twunts.

Thank you forthe awesome new poll thread and title @Fredsnail and @mardymare. I've voted Who Cares in the poll, and I'm failing myself for leaving @freda19 s works of art out of the suggestion for the coffee table book.
While personally I'm less bothered by the bleep and the spare (now that they've stayed out m of NY for a bit the stench has lifted) I still can't help this bad feeling that they will do something to ruin Christmas for the RF. Or at least try. Like when. The kids are little, if they are too quiet, it's trouble.

IS SWEARING A SIGN OF INTELLIGENCE?
Research in 2014 revealed people who frequently swear are more likely to have a bigger vocabulary than their clean-tongued peers.

A colourful tongue does not mean the talker is lazy or uneducated, the study published in the Language Sciences journal found.

Instead, those who are more confident using taboo words are more articulate in other areas.

Kristin and Timothy Jay, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts psychologists who co-wrote the study, said it proved swearing was positively correlated with verbal fluency.

'We cannot help but judge others on the basis of their speech,' they wrote.

'Unfortunately, when it comes to taboo language, it is a common assumption that people who swear frequently are lazy, do not have an adequate vocabulary, lack education, or simply cannot control themselves.'

In their conclusion, they added: 'The overall finding of this set of studies, that taboo fluency is positively correlated with other measures of verbal fluency, undermines the [normal] view of swearing.’

A separate and unrelated study from the University of Rochester in 2017 found that intelligent people tend to swear more.

Despite this, studies have also found that the perception of people who swear often is that they are actually less intelligent and trustworthy, creating somewhat of a paradox.

Just wanted to say I love the Cambridge's Xmas card - such a happy looking family

Only interested to see if the Twunts show any hint of the baby in the new card - then my interest, like this message, will self destruct...




What I can say is I have no investment in their children - other than to wish them no harm, hope that they keep well, and that their lives do not turn out as isolated and awful by being parented by the Twunts as we expect. Poor wee bairns
