Am I the only one who hates this manufactured American crap? What was wrong with hollowing out a turnip and sticking in a cut down candle?

Don’t get me wrong, I love to go all out when it comes to Christmas, but this glorified begging and spending a fortune on crap you just don’t need gets my goat (or should that be ghost) every year!

12 year old asked me for a “boo basket”
Had to google it at first. Why on earth would someone need a basket of treats? Chuck on a bin bag and mask and go earn your treats knocking on doors like I had to back in the day

I‘m fairly indifferent to it apart from thinking it’s all got a bit OTT. What does piss me off, however, is people dumping their pumpkins in the countryside thinking they’re feeding the wildlife. Pumpkins are actually toxic to a lot of wildlife.

Fed up of it already and it hasn't happened yet. Also, round here everyone fights to get to the best street first to get the best sweets. I refuse to go to the best house and we just go around the block knocking on decorated houses
