I've always been referred whether that's by the NHS or through private gp. Not sure if you could go private and book however!
If you go private then you can usually book an initial consultation online or call them up. They'll provide information on how much the consultation will cost and the types of payment plans they have.

I got referred via my GP. I was fast tracked (due to the severity of the issue) and was seen within 2 weeks but I know from other peoples experiences if it's not as urgent the wait can be quite long. I hope you're ok.

Hi...

How do you go about booking for a gynaecologist, do you always need to be referred via GP or can you just book appointment yourself??
