Global Warming

I think it has been a little bit milder this year in terms of "usual" winter weather. There has been little to no icy morning where I live, so far. Its been quite wet too which isnt as usual for December - although I do live in Ireland.

I'm not saying that global warming isn't a real concern, but this article is a bit misleading. Kimberley and the Pilbara often have far hotter temperatures than the rest of Australia, I think Marble Bar has cracked 50 a few times.
The La Niña effect is causing cooler temperatures where I live (Victoria), we've only had one day over 30c so far this season. 30c in Sydney is definitely not unusual and neither is 33c in Melbourne.
Having said that, I've lived through a 47c and a 48c day and they were both bloody horrible with bushfires and loss of life.
