Not another instalment of the Sabre/Apollo showmance

Re the Gauntlet incident, I don't really see how he had anywhere else to go other than over the side. It's not like he could have pushed his way back in from that position. Strange decision. I didn't agree with it at all.

my kids have watched all the episodes many MANY times and I actually it’s quite enjoyable to watch as an adult. Diamond’s prank with the fart machine had me laughing out loud. And I loved Giant reading out that terrible poem

Also I thought Comet came across as really, really lovely in her prank episode.

People were queuing for 5-6 hours and mainly outside. I saw one woman say she arrived at 6.15am so was at the front of the queue and saw the gladiators at 10.30am. They closed the queue completely about midday.
People did say all the gladiators were lovely though so no reflection on them, just demand far outstretched capacity

I think Joe has broken the show. He's lovely yet pretty poor in events against actual Gladiators (e.g. Duel, Powerball etc.) but when on his own, particularly the Eliminator, nobody stands a chance. The final will be interesting but I can't see anyone beating him on the Eliminator as he's just too good due to his background.

Yes, I thought he folded early in Duel in the quarters, and the same thing happened in the semi. He's great at the fast-paced games (The Edge, Unleashed), but not at anything requiring strength. It was less noticeable in the quarters because more of the events suited him.

Nathan the crossfit guy did beat Joe's eliminator time, so I'm interested to see what happens if they wind up in the final together.

Reddit seems to think Sabre is in a long term relationship with an ice hockey player? Which just makes those locker room scenes SO bizarre.

Even moreso when you consider that they would have filmed those 'interactions' a number of times and that's the best performance you could get out of them

It was very GCSE Drama, or like one of those photo love stories with speech bubbles you used to get in teenage girl magazines back in the day

I tried listening to Dynamite's 'country' song. I really tried. But it sounds like it was written by a 15 year old after being dumped by her boyfriend over text.

I am enjoying this reboot but like everyone else says it does feel a bit too WWW. The beauty of the original gladiators is that they were actually good. I don’t know if that’s just because these days fitness is much more popular than it was in the 90s so everyone and their dog is a cross fitter or gym owner. But yeah they need to get those gladiators training. Back in the day you just knew it was game over when hunter was on the wall or jet/lightning on hang tough. The gauntlet this time round feels so easy - I’m sure not many made it through in the OG one (I mean how could you with rhino, warrior ). So I don’t know if they need to tweak the rules/make sections a bit bigger. It almost feels as though the gladiators can’t do anything.
Totally agree with the awful Apollo and sabre interaction - it isn’t needed.

First thing they need to do is get rid of those ridiculous lockers room scenes. Would the men and women really be sharing a locker room anyway?
