Relationship stuff aside, I think he's off the steroids because he's not competing any more and focussing more on his health - I can't imagine being on them for as long as he has is good for the body long term - like Dave whatshisface from Guardians of the Galaxy.

He's also got a pretty big YouTube channel so I think he'll be ok.

Have any of the other Gladiators liked either of his posts - or are they staying quiet because they know where their bread is buttered and don't want to rock the boat?

Daily Mail have done an article on him leaving over his gf. Someone has commented saying there is a video of them that’s been shared… if true what an absolute fool.

Especially when he could've just kept quiet about her and continued to work on Gladiators. Because after all, who really cares who he's dating?

His ex wife has posted on her insta saying its a shock finding out about a new relationship. They arent divorced yet she says- only split in November.
So adter 5 months hes gushing over somebody who he says he wants to start a family with and who's hes prepared to leave the biggest career break hes had for. He'll be on OF too soon I reckon- the girlfriend brags she makes 25k a month on there and he was always saying how big his food bill was each month.

Its quite disappointing/dodgy that in his leaving statement he's described the situation as 'being faced with a choice that didn't align with my values' and 'I always stand by my people'

There were quite a few well meaning supporters who look up to him alluding to his ADHD in the sense of they are his people and get how hard it is speaking out about medication as though he's maybe been asked to step back from speaking out about being on prescription drugs or choosing to say publicly that he opts to medicate has cost his job so good on him.

If the reality in the mail interview is that his person is the new young girlfriend who makes a living in part on Only Fans and that maybe aligning himself closely to the industry of adult content creating whilst needing to be a wholesome role model to children has inevitably lead to an important conversation ... he's being very selective in his statement to say the least.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to say to someone 'we have a strict social media policy due to Gladiators being role models for children. This means that you can not heavily feature an only fans creator on your social media. Children could click through and see her profile where she posts saucy pictures to advertise her only fans. Whilst this is legal, it is not suitable for people under 18 to see'.

You have to be held to a higher standard if you work with children or are on kids TV.

Not unreasonable at all. He just wants to show off the trophy girlfriend and made his choice. All he had to do was be discreet.

He's trimmed down because he can't take steroids anymore due to an enlarged heart. It's quite sad that he's left the show because he'd rather be with this OF girl

It’s interesting that on his insta post and Facebook but also a TikTok that another person made about things that everyone is outraged that this has happened. I don’t really like how mainstream OF has become.

I don't get why he is shocked after all the scandal the BBC has had recently, nevermind elsewhere.
Gladiators have young fans and will go online for information about them, obviously many shouldn't have access and/or aren't supervised properly but would only take a few clicks to see the new girlfriend is on OF and for them to seek out what the site is about even if they can't access her content.
Dan (HB) won't want any negative focus around his company after the H and P scandal as the media will pounce.

They always trot out the “it’s the oldest profession” line as if that makes everything ok. The next line is that it’s “empowering”. Is it? Because it looks like you’re having to do all sorts of things to appease your subscribers. I personally don’t think that changing my body specifically for the male gaze (because it’s not for yourself - those boobs are ridic) is particularly powerful.

OF has been drip fed into social media more than traditional porn ever was (it's trying to catch up though!) And a huge bugbear of mine is the onslaught of clickbait tabloid articles that are written purely to go viral as thinly veiled OF adverts. They try and normalise it all, usually omitting facts regarding earnings or the particular circumstances of that 'hard luck done good story'.

Really annoying with the Online Safety Act as it is useless against this and how accessible it all is to children. I am no Mary Whitehouse by any stretch and think porn has it's place but it's bleeding into the mainstream and easier than ever entry point is going to cause massive societal problems down the line.

It is probably better for people to have more control over what they do and it is probably better than being at the mercy of a grubby page 3/Porno mag photographer.

However, i can't buy that the line that it is an empowered feminist choice. You can be in control of pics all you want, but i don't think the pic buyers are buying the pictures because they respect the 'stars' of onlyfans, or are getting their rocks off to how much of a feminist a women is being by shoving things up her butthole.

No one is subscribing to Katie Price and kerry katona to see them make a feminist choice by showing their body how they want. People want to see them brought low and humiliated. See what disgusting things they can make them do for money.

I ran out of time to edit my post. I wanted to ask what sort of character/gladiators do we want to see being added to the show.

I thought that they will probably add another ' big guy' to replace Giant. However i think it would be interesting to bring in someone with a gymnastics, martial arts or climbing background. They would be physically smaller, but would have a lot of strength and flexibility. Would give them an advantage of things like The Wall, Hangtough, maybe bridgeball as well.

For the ladies I would like to see someone who ia comfortable playing a villain role throughout, who doesn't drop character and praise the contestants when they do well.

Someone like hunter who was big but very good at most of the games especially the wall. It would be good to have a powerhouse (like warrior). I’m so annoyed at giant because he served a purpose.

I had really high hopes for Athena but she barely featured in any games then got an injury.

I do think like another poster mentioned, the games need to be tweaked. The gauntlet isn’t daunting anymore. I also hope they lay off over producing the games. It does feel as though glads are asked to throw things sometimes. We watched the episode from season 2 where the gb gymnast contender came in and some of the antics definitely felt like they wanted him to be the “winner”. I feel like the enjoyment of the OG gladiators was when a contender really pushed hard and beat a glad. Although I always did cheer the glads on
