Congratulations! My now husband and I eloped to Vegas 2 years ago this February. Our entire wedding cost us maybe £1,500-£2,000. That’s including the flights and accomodation. I would highly recommend Chi Chi online, they have a lovely range of affordable wedding dresses. I paid £80 for my dress - my Irregular Choice bridal shoes were more expensive than it. My wedding dress was this one and I loved it, it was perfect, great quality, and I got lots of compliments on it from strangers and family alike:

Don't have much advice dress wise. But, if you're having a party and will have tables, for the centre pieces I definitely recommend FB Marketplace/Ebay. We got log slices from FB, it was just what we wanted and very reasonable. I'm the first one to have gotten married out of my friends, and my biggest advice to any of them who will get engaged in the future, is the money is not worth it. We spent £1500 just for the drapes in the evening reception. I look back and think wtf was I thinking, that money could have paid for a holiday yet I spent it on material. IMO, the cost should go on things you'll remember, like the entertainment, or the photographer. I kick myself at how much I spent on my wedding, I refuse to add it all up because I know it's ridiculous.

How exciting! No advice, but honestly I admire you. I got married reasonably cheaply £7k (compared to some!), my colleague paid nearly half that on her dress alone, I do not get why.
My partner has a colleague who spent £6k on flowers. I honestly wanted to vomit when I heard. It’s not even something people remember like food, or something like a dress that you can sell on...they die!!!! Absolutely crazy.

Thanks so much for your advice. I think most of our budget will go on photographer/band for the dance. I've just ordered a dress on Ebay - fingers crossed it looks OK when it arrives!

My wedding dress was from ASOS, however Oasis do absolutely gorgeous wedding dresses and if they had that range when I got married I would definitely have bought from there. Also they’re in the sale 😉

My dress is from asos! The price of wedding dresses from an actual bridal shop gave me shivers and I just couldn't justify it when we're only going to be having a super small wedding! I ordered about 5 separate dresses and just kept what I wanted 😊 We're having a separate party too so I've got another dress for that (not strictly bridal but its white haha)

Excellent choice! That’s the bit everyone remembers and you’ll have the beautiful photos too!
Keep us updated with your plans!

My wedding dress was from ebay, £35! Congratulations on the wedding, I found as soon as I mentioned it was for a wedding prices shot up, as your doing a party after I would just refer to it as a party to suppliers!

My dress was £95 off ASOS. Still a wedding dress just not ridiculously priced. Perfect for the day! We had a super cheap low key wedding and it was lovely and just what we wanted. All the best for yours x

How was the quality? Were you happy with it? Did you feel like a bride? (sorry I hope you know what I mean!)

To echo above - imagine spending the price of a car on flowers!!!! I just couldn't.
quality was really good, I had no complaints on that. I was happy with it and felt like a bride definitely. Obviously this is just my experience, you have to do what’s right for you :)

I also got fake sunflower bouquets so they didn’t just die and we now have them in our house and they looked so good on the day.

Not sure what budget you had in mind but I got mine from Wed2b, all their dresses are £599 or less.

I ordered my dress from Ebay . I ordered a similar one before for being a guest at a wedding, then I got a cream one for my wedding. It was more of an evening dress than a traditional wedding dress.

I already had my shoes because I'd worn them to someone else's wedding too. I wanted new ones but I either didn't like them, didn't want to pay that much or they didn't fit

We plan to elope (thanks for all the advice on my earlier thread!). Now I'm looking for advice on the dress. Has anyone ordered their wedding dress online and had a good experience? Any other tips for keeping costs down? We will have a party after we marry and invite family and friends.
Ooh that's exciting! We eloped 2 years ago and kept costs to the bare minimum. Paid £100 for the embassy to produce a certificate of no impediment (married in a different country) and then £5 for the registry office. Went straight after work to the registry office so didn't have to buy an outfit lol.
