I think he was very ambitious and his decision to make a go of it with GT hampered him and his ambition - as said ages ago. He has lost the stellar career and is now grabbing everything he can, almost in desperation.
"Games requiring intelligence, lateral thinking and the powers of persuasion"I had it on and tried watching it - I thought it was slow, boring, the contestants are about as interesting as dry cream crackers, and David's part was utterly unnecessary. The voiceovers were lazy and his actual presence was kind of creepy? Like I can imagine Stephen Mulhern fitting in that role and having a blast (it's more his speed - and no shade because he's made a career out of it), but David is a high-calibre actor. It feels like bad product placement to have him in it - a cynical way of trying to grab ratings.
Seems like the sort of thing Georgia would watch (low-stakes, dumb) and she thought it would be GREAT for his CV (her bank account)
ETA this very zoomed-out screenshot - bloody hell

and this from The i, echoing how we all feel (cannot believe this is the same guy who played a blinding Richard II, one of the hardest characters in the entire Shakespeare canon):

The reason is his questionable wife.Inspired by the CONSTANT adverts for Genius Game, what are your most uncharitable guesses as to why David is consistently working and now doingsuch illustrious things asgame shows?
- The man is a workhorse and purely doing it for the lols
- Gearing up to pay for an extremely expensive divorce
- Gotta fund skinny jabs and/or multipacks of Quavers and Mars Bars for the beast
- Excuses to stay out of the house away from the gaoler (whilst bearing the g to remind him he will never escape)
Personally I think it is another attempt to crack the US. Despite being a well-known actor here he has just never managed to break the big time over the pond. A game show is easier to sell a personality in America (this is why Jimmy Carr did so well over there)I also think it is why he's doing the over coiffed hair and orange tan.I saw this advertised and I was baffled. Why tf is he doing this garbage? Is he skint or something?
It's "post pictures of your underage non-binary child to earn plaudits from internet randomers instead of safeguarding them and allowing them to explore their identity in private" isn't it.Who knew there was a Georgia Tennant thread?
Sorry to put you off your Friday night drinks, but you'll be pleased to know 90%+ of the comments were negative.
To have £1.5m of debt due within a year is a LOT though. Especially compared to the level of assets.
They want to be mindful of what happened with Busy Philips. She pushed her trans/NB child every where possible until the child went to live permanently with their father at the earliest opportunity and now barely speaks to her. It's "post pictures of your underage non-binary child to earn plaudits from internet randomers instead of safeguarding them and allowing them to explore their identity in private" isn't it.
Unless that‘s what they paid for one of the investment properties. And for such a big outspoken lefty, one of those companies is nested inside the other one and he is on companies house twice - once under his real name, and once under his equity one, the shady fuckerTo have £1.5m of debt due within a year is a LOT though. I think it’s probably mortgage payments as they had the same amount of debt last year. But these are just the amounts due within a year - there may be other debt with a longer payment date (that they’re not required to disclose in the accounts). It just looks like a heck of a lot IMO when you compare it to the value of the properties.Unless that‘s what they paid for one of the investment properties. Makes me think of Jazz Jennings too, the parents ought to be locked up for allowing their child to be used on television like that. They want to be mindful of what happened with Busy Philips. Objectively speaking, David isn’t a looker either and he’s getting worse as he ages. It’s only his previous roles that make him attractive.I follow her in the hope she posts pictures of him. I always found her really plain and boring looking and it’s surprising that she’s someone he ended up with. Enjoyed the tea on here about her.
I used to like his voice when he was in his original Doctor Who role but since he's become a slimey weasel I've gone right off his voice.Objectively speaking, David isn’t a looker either and he’s getting worse as he ages. It’s only his previous roles that make him attractive.
Oh I disagree but we all have different types.Objectively speaking, David isn’t a looker either and he’s getting worse as he ages. It’s only his previous roles that make him attractive.
I used to think he was quite "twinkly", which I liked, when he was younger (though too much on the skinny side for my tastes - I like a chunky bloke), however since he got older and skinner and more and more - I dunno - sordid looking, I think he's very unattractive. Downright repulsive TBH.Objectively speaking, David isn’t a looker either and he’s getting worse as he ages. It’s only his previous roles that make him attractive.
Well, of course. But I did say objectively speaking. He was and never will be on the cover of Vogue. Ugly men can be attractive though, especially when there’s something about them, whether that’s their voice as someone had said, or what he brings to the roles he plays. Personally I’d say he’s on a par with Georgia looks wise, although I don’t think she would have looked twice at him if he’d been anyone other than the current Dr Who and flavour of the month.Oh I disagree but we all have different types.
Exactly this. His appearance at the BAFTAs was something else. He’s the only man I’ve ever seen who has a receding chin (does he have false gnashers or something).I used to think he was quite "twinkly", which I liked, when he was younger (though too much on the skinny side for my tastes - I like a chunky bloke), however since he got older and skinner and more and more - I dunno - sordid looking, I think he's very unattractive.
