I mostly just use the subscription because you get access to more caches! A lot of people don't want their geocaches available on the free side just because they're more likely to be vandalised. I would say if you're going to go out regularly and do it it's 100% worth it just for the extra caches alone. You also get access to other types of cache other than your traditional "box in a tree" type but I don't dabble with those. Can someone advise what else you get access to if you upgrade to the paid subscription please?
Thank you! I might give it a go when the weather starts improving.I'd just say have a look on the app, create a list of Geocaches you'd like to find within close proximity of each other and go for it!
Start off just doing a couple and see if you enjoy it.
I'd also say have a look at each caches activity, me and my friend have arrived at some locations looked for a while to see 'DID NOT FIND' you feel slightly disheartened so now before we go out we check each cache so we don't waste any time.
If you enjoy walking it's worth the £25 for the yearly sub, we've found lots of lovely new places right on our doorstep we'd never of thought to go before.
