That didn’t take long did it!It’s going to make me so angry to see this not called out for what it is.
I’ve archived this BBC article, which is standalone and not part of the live feed. They refer to him as a gunman and use male pronouns throughout. I want to see if they edit it later. Because their live feed is not using any pronouns and no mention if he’s male or female or trans. Just the name and ‘suspect’

I've posted on here about the antenatal clinic where I work (the one where the man walked down two floors to use a toilet in the antenatal clinic waiting-roomIt blows my mind that - what was it - 5 police were waiting for him over tweets. Tweets! How sinister is that?! Yet knife crime rampages on in the streets - the manpower distribution of the police needs looking into because I bet the amount of people assigned to online 'crime' outweighs bobbies on the beat.
My opinion? Jack's just a bandwagon jumping try-hard with no real personality, it was inevitable that she would go down the trans route at some stage. Like she did with veganism, AA, autism, crafting, heart failure and so on.Completely different subject but since I'm finally allowed on this forum and have the chance to ask:
Does anyone suspect that Jack Monroe was used / groomed / facilitated as a mainstream media character to introduce this whole concept of trans to the UK population? The whole 'A girl called Jack' was kind of endearing and tomboy-ish in an Enid Blyton twee way when it was all first introduced... then 'plucky single mum, gender non-conforming, being mum/dad'. Well not any more, now look at the state of all things.
Obv the truth came out and she's creepy and grifty as hell but who platformed the whole madness in the first place? It reeks of an agenda to me and she was positioned because she was a greedy wannabee who could be manipulated.
So a man telling women to protect themselves is bad and must be punished but a man shouting punch a Terf into a megaphone and pissing all over the place is free to carry on? Got it.![]()
Met Police chief calls for law change after Graham Linehan arrest
Sir Mark Rowley says officers are in an "impossible position" when policing online speech.www.bbc.com
"In his statement on Wednesday, Sir Mark said the decision to arrest Linehan "was made within existing legislation - which dictates that a threat to punch someone from a protected group could be an offence".
Sir Mark said his officers "had reasonable grounds to believe an offence had been committed," but that police more broadly had "been left between a rock and a hard place" when investigating online speech.
He continued: "I don't believe we should be policing toxic culture wars debates and officers are currently in an impossible position."
Sir Mark said police will have to "make similar decisions in future unless the law and guidance is changed or clarified".
He said he hopes this happens "without delay", but said the Met would be taking immediate action to update how it decides which cases warrant a police investigation.
Sir Mark said: "As an immediate way of protecting our officers from the situation we find ourselves in today, we will be putting in place a more stringent triaging process to make sure only the most serious cases are taken forward in future – where there is a clear risk of harm or disorder.""
