I used to be guilty of doing this myself...shopping to fill a void as a result of my ex but also due to watching shopping hauls youtube I now watch them with a different mindset and don't rush out to buy stuff I've seen on yt......I've now got a garage full of boxes waiting for the charity shops to open to donate the void filling purchases. I've taken stock of what the problem was and no longer shop for things I don't need.

I definitely think all those Poundland primark especially as they’re cheap/ any shopping haul really does trigger something in people. I myself used to watch the TKMaxx ones and go mental! I too used to shopping to feel voids especially due to fomo. YouTube hauls have a lot to answer for! Glad you’re doing better

How does she have that much money!! I used to love Freya’s Instagram and vlogs but since the pandemic I’ve unfollowed

I’ve often thought this, she’s not the biggest YouTuber. Maybe family money....Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind her she’s a lot less fake than Elle Darby and Gemma louise Miles. Lookswise and personality wise. Could be an act of course but she’s pretty harmless in my opinion all but it quite boring.

Yeah I think she is boring for someone of her age. Even before lockdown she didn't seem to do much if it didn't involve shopping.

She talks about having an outdoor area for entertaining etc, entertaining who? Mannequins dressed in beige?

At least any doggy "presents" that barney leaves for guests in the garden will fit in with the aesthetic colour-wise haha

Thank you, it wasn't until I moved house that I realised how much youtube had affected my shopping habits, it made me shop more and for unnecessary things.

Mannequins dressed in beige absolutely sent me it’s true though.

But also how many beige / white items of clothing do you need? It’s unnecessary and I think it looks weird in the middle of winter too!

Also the obsession with the white company / dupes is a tad boring now

If she stopped buying shite from Poundland, Home Bargains and B&M, she could afford to buy the whole of the White Company’s catalogue. I suspect she shops in bargain shops for content and to make herself appear relatable, not because she needs to.

Exactly. The obsession with things looking expensive also. Ash Reid is the same. Can you imagine then at school, I bet they were the "mean girls" looking down in everyone.

I haven't watched a video from Freya in months. Too many boring beige hauls. She has shopped her way through the pandemic!

She’s so grabby. Everything is sponsored or free. Does she ever just make an authentic video that doesn’t have done random crap company sponsoring it? She would sell her soul if she could.

I thought she might have mixed it up a bit and moved on from the hauls with her latest video...but even Freya's What I eat in a day is an ad.

She made the Manchester Evening News with her £205 haul.

So unrelatable.

Meanwhile in the real world people had to go and do a real jobs, not spend hundreds in a budget shop.

Not jealous...I would rather be safe unless it was essential purchase like for example you had kids that needed shoes etc, she wasn't desperate for anything she goes shopping every week in lockdown for beige and white clothes. She certainly wasn't desperate for £205 worth in Primark
