But just to add my two cents, McLaren still don’t act like a top team in certain situations and it’s costing them, especially when you compare them to Red Bull who even when they don’t have the quickest car, are always making the right choices. That’ll most likely come though, hopefully for them sooner rather than later. But rn I’m very glad they messed up

Yes they fucked up his race with tyre strategy but he took a new gearbox , that car should be flying . It is way to powerful probably for him and he dont trust the carThank youit's not looking good at all for him is it

Oh and yeah Newey to AM. I think this also because Honda goes there and he seems to work magic with it. Also Lawrence probably loaded with unloading a bit of his shares. Man would do anything with endless investors waiting to fund him and the hypercar (for Lance retirement)

The first thing I noticed when they showed Adam in the McLaren garage during the race was his T-shirt with pure electric on the frontCisca and Callum were at race too. I think Flo and her bf, Carmen weren't at there. And posing with Pure Electric.

As much as I felt gutted for Lando after that race, I was absolutely heartbroken for Charles.
Ferrari strategy still makes McLaren look competent, and he knows that Lewis is gonna be the shiny new toy next season, especially after that win yesterday. Maybe he'll employ Carlos as his race engineer, because with his brain, and the fact that if he wanted a Brit to win, it's not Lewis, it could be a go-er?

Kinda off-topic here but just to back up oscar a bit, his tyre management has made incredible progress since miami (see austria and silverstone as examples - two very high deg tracks) and the mclaren app doesn't broadcast 100% of the messages lando and oscar receive. I listen to both driver radios and they usually give and receive the same amount of feedback on tyre management. No denying oscar has room to improve (given that he's only done 1.5 years of F1) but he still has made incredible progress that people don't really see.
He's improved a lot, but I have the onboards on throughout the races and he still gets a lot more tyre comms than Lando.
I think he's learning a lot from him though, and it's good to see the work paying off.
If only the strategists could step up.

Another thing I've thought about with the useless McLaren strategy overnight ...
Once Oscar passed the Mercs who were clearly struggling, we all knew rain was coming, and his side of the garage knew Lando would get priority as he was ahead, but why, instead of letting him get within his DRS did they not say "target to be 1-1.5 seconds behind, as long as there is no threat to your position" so they could've done the double-stack with as little negative impact as possible? Is it just me?
