I wouldn’t be either, especially as most nursery/childcare places are not usually flexible either. It appears to be a very typical male response where they make a mistake and expect you to sort it.

Short answer is no, if he’s quit his job without considering you and your job, he should be the one that makes it work, including paying for childcare.
Im assuming he would be responsible previously for the child/ren when you’re working, it’s on him.
I’m not sure how you changing your hours even helps if he won’t know one week to the next what he’s working?

Thank you for your response. I think it's unfair because I've got used to my hour's and it works perfectly fine for us as a family. Now everything will change and as you said both of us are going to be flexible so it's not going to work regarding childcare because if we are both off one particular day why do we need childcare on that particular day . Every week will be different so it's not going to work. I'm reallyvnot happy

My husband has got a new job lined up. But I work 3 days a week and I've got set hours. He needs to be flexible in his new job . He says I need to change my hours or pay for childcare. Why should I change my hours when he quit his job.? Am I being unreasonable. For being annoyed that he just expects me to change my hours or fork out childcare
