I’m in the hospital with my 15 year old daughter who has just had a scoliosis correction spinal fusion and she is basically learning to walk again with her new, significantly taller body. She had the surgery on Friday so very early days. I’m sleeping on a fold out chair and averaging 4-5 hrs sleep a night.
I’m not saying this for sympathy or attention but just that everything ELou does is so trivial and so far removed from the real world and real people problems. At least that’s what she portrays. I didn’t want to put this on the ELou thread but wanted to share. Thanks for letting me. My daughter will be ok, just a long road ahead. And I’m bored shitless in here. I guess I should enjoy that small luxury. Hope you all have a lovely Sunday x

I’m all good! Busy with kids & work, been doing some small painting jobs at home, remind me next time how much I bloody hate painting 😂

How are you going?

St Saj is very intriguing to me, how can she think she’s going to make a booming business, is she that deranged she doesn’t realize all her past ventures failed, even failed to pay the tax to the ato.
I‘m with you on painting and blame shows like Switching Rooms for making us think painting a wall was quick and easy cos they’d do it in like 3 minutes!

In opersonal stuff, it feels like I’m setting a world record for the longest marital separation ever. After moving out of the family home two frigging years ago, my ex still lives there and acknowledges that it’s time to sell up and do a settlement but is still playing games. After a long negotiation we had a real estate agent over to sign them up to sell the house and at the last minute, the fucker refused to sign their contract The agent pretty much apologised to me for having married such a dick!

@Michy02 I’m so sorry to hear about your sister’s diagnosis.

One of my closest friends was diagnosed earlier this year and had a double mastectomy in June, and they discovered secondary cancer then. BUT three months after surgery her recovery has been incredible considering what she’s been through. She’s 45, divorced with teenage kids and struggled a lot with being diagnosed but used every resource offered to her by the hospital and cancer clinic so please encourage your sister to do the same.

Another thing we used was an app called Gather My Crew to keep people updated on where they could help, like if she needed shopping done after surgery, or someone to take her or go with her to an appt. It was a great way to keep information flowing without my friend getting tons of direct messages.

It’s hard watching someone you love go through this because your instinct is to want to take on their pain but just let her know how much she’s loved. I know you’ll be an incredible support because you’re a wonderful caring person xx

Firstly, I hope you are all doing ok, that’s a rough time you are all going through, do let us know how you guys are going with it all.
Secondly, Emmy is such a bitch, it infuriates me when people refer to her as a Mother, she doesn’t deserve that title. She makes me sick. There is not a single thing she does that puts another human above herself. Selfish, nasty, greedy, I could go on. It’s quite unfair really that she seemingly skates through life, but I’m certain deep down she is hating herself, her family don’t love her like they should & it’s her own doing.

I hope you have better days ahead.

Im sorry for what you're going through and that its a long road ahead for you guys but so glad your daughter has a mum like you to be there for her in what will no doubt be a tough time for all of you.
EL is a garbage human. This is why she has nearly 150 threads. Thats 150,000 comments on her behaviour.
She hates being a mum. Im sure she loves her kids but she doesnt actually like them. She's very lucky the kids arent high needs in any capacity as we know she'd neglect them. Much like we suspect vida needs a Dx.
She wouldn't survive in the real world. I hope her stupid brand crashes and burns so she actually eventually has to get a real job and shut the fuck up.
As you saod she is so far removed from reality. She wouldnt know what its like to be in your shoes and be there for her kids in every capacity possible.

Yes about the ATO debt, no money to pay back all that she owes, gets a discount on the debt & now has money to waste on this latest venture. How is she able to do this?
I also hate painting, don’t mind mowing the yard though.🤪
I love mowing & snipping 😅 it’s so good for my brain to be able to switch off

The ATO debt is the thing that angered me the most about her whole situation, at the time she would have 100% knew about the sizable debt, she was out buying $600 dresses, leased a car, living it up, all while she had this shit going on. It’s such an enraging situation for everyone who works hard & doesn’t get a choice in paying taxes or not.

I was at the AFL qualifying final at the MCG last night. Most people who were there had tickets because they are AFL club members (which you pay $$$ for) and the tickets were $102 each. Who should cross my path but Vince Colosimo. He may have been a guest but he seemed to be the one in charge of the three other men with him. Grinds my gears that he was excused of paying $61,858 worth of fines and penalties for unpaid tolls, speeding offences, minor driving offences, and not voting in council elections when he appears to have the disposable income to attend last night's match.

Hey Fezzas. Someone very close to me has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer (early stages) they are starting Chemo very soon. I bought her a silk robe and slip and saw her on the weekend but I just can’t get this feeling of dread and panic out of my mind. We live in different states so I’ll be supporting afar with calls. Does anyone have any tips or website recommendations? We have this in our family and I already get mammograms but I’m thinking I need to tell my GP about this also.

Hugs to you fricking. You are a great mum and I hope your daughter has a quick recovery and feels wonderful with her new straight back.
As others had said about old Amy - imagine if this was one of her kids? Imagine her spending days and nights at the hospital with her child? She wouldn't have time, being a mogul and all. Alove would be the one there.

Re hot water. Are those government grants too good to be true????

Also unrelated I have sinned, ate Cheezels for the first time in about 20 years and I did not want to stop. It was very hard cutting myself off after about 10. Little piggy is onto something good.

@dartsmokingpony and @I_Fricking_Love_It how are you and your family doing?

Its been a while since we had any Fezza posts but I saw Scaredy post in Emmy’s thread and wondered how they are too @Scaredweirdlittleguy

Hope fezzas are doing well and our QLD fezzas are safe too.
hello!
Thank you for thinking of me. My daughter is just about to see the surgeon for her 3 month review and she is doing amazing. I can’t believe where she is now compared to those early days in hospital and at home. She is basically doing everything she normally does and now has no pain which was the aim. She’s definitely got youth on her side but feel so grateful x

I’m having a lousy run with health and injuries so nothing interesting happening in my world. I’m ready for this year to be over tbh. Good to see a bit of activity in this thread again ☺
