just thinking about how much i miss going out to eat and thought we could share our favorite restaurants and what we order from them 🥰
we can imagine it's actually happening and then dial their reservations number and cry over the beep beep

anyway, my favorite restaurant in my hometown is this japanese place
starter: either spring rolls or gyoza, or takoyaki, that's a dough ball with octupus meat inside
main: always a big platter of sushi - chicken teriyaki rolls, avocado salmon rolls, spicy runa.... mmm
dessert: usually raspberry cheesecake but they also sometimes have some kind of coffee jelly with ice cream, amazing

my favorite place when i'm in the uk is wagamama 🍜
starter: always prawn kushiyaki and tama squid to start, and gyoza
main: prawn and kimchi ramen, or some spicy duck ramen
dessert: don't think they have desserts in wagamama? but also really don't think i could ever fit one after that ramen 😂

and lastly, just so that i'm not only offering asian cuisine, i love this little mexican place in my hometown
starter: either chicken taquitos with guac or loaded cheesy nachos
main: chicken flautas with guac, or if i'm feeling adventurous i get their burritos with peanut butter, pineapple and chocolate, sounds crazy but it's yum
dessert: black chocolate pancakes with ice cream
and of course sangria 🍹

Your post has made me soooo hungry. I love every single thing you've picked.

I love Japanese food. Close to where I work (pre covid) in London, there is a really cute little noodle and sushi bar. All of the food there is amazing.
Starter: Chicken gyoza and prawn tempura
Main: Beef ramen

I have a lovely Indian restaurant local to where I live in West Sussex. Wish I could order the entire menu.
Starter: Popadams and chutneys, Lamb samosa
Main: Korai lamb with rice and garlic naan.

Another great place close to my office in London, is called Pitta Bun. It's modern Greek 'street food' Sooo delicious. Looks like this...

The chicken one is amazing 🤤

I really hope these amazing places survive all of our lockdowns.

From my fave Japanese place: Spicy yaki udon or beef ramen. If I'm in the sushi mood, I'll order Philadelphia rolls.
Fave burger place: A crispy chicken burger and chunky salt and pepper chips.
Chinese place: Spicy ginger garlic chicken or veggie stir fry noodles. If I have a cold, a hot and sour soup.
From the patisserie: Croissants if they have any, chouquette pistache or a tahini roll.
When I crave Indian once in a blue moon: Butter chicken and a heap of poppadoms

Now I want udon 😭

Sushi place: Vegetable gyoza (fried) and tuna maki
Wagamama order: Yasai yaki soba with peach iced tea, banana katsu for dessert
Nandos Order: the great imitator/vegetarian chicken (medium spice) wrap without the chilli jam or lettuce, peri-salted chips and a can of that peach rubro stuff
Whenever I order pizza, I always get Margarita lol
McDonalds: Fries and twisty fries (yes really, I love chips that much). I recently tried Burger King's vegetarian chicken nuggets. They're delicious.

I don't like chinese or indian take away. I'm not mad on chipper (do brits call a 'chipper' a fish and chip shop? I think yous do) food at all. Don't like the idea of kebabs either haha.

My favourite restaurant (It's a pizza place):
Margarita Pizza, skinny fries w/garlic dip, chocolate mouse and a pint of a cocktails that taste like my favourite childhood sweets (I usually give half the pizza to my BF lol)

TL;DR: I'm a vegetarian who started eating fish (but subsequently only likes tuna). I am a pickier eater than most toddlers (I'm 28 lol). I have a tiny appetite and usually end up giving most of my food to my boyfriend too lmao.

Great thread!

From wagamama I love veggie gyoza followed by chilli chicken ramen.

For japanese I usually go all sushi; salmon sashimi, unagi, salmon avocado roll, anything with crab/soft shell crab

From the indian, not too fussed on starters. I loved lamb rogan josh, saag aloo (sometimes have this for main), rice, peshwari naan.

I worked out the other day that I haven’t had Wagamama for almost a year now. It’s my fave “quick” restaurant and I always have the same thing 😂

Starter: tori kora age (I think it’s called - crispy chicken basically) and some kimchi
Main: teriyaki beef soba. Love it when they do the beef quite rare

Chinese is my favourite takeaway and I love a McDonald’s.

I can’t wait to be able to start going to restaurants again, I’ve really missed going out to eat!

Ooh I love Japanese food! When I travelled around Japan 4 years ago, I was so excited about trying all of the food 😍 Theres a Japanese restaurant where I live and they do amazing Bento boxes - I always go for chicken teriyaki with vegetable tempura with some gyoza. I sometimes get their beef ramen.

I’ve never been to a Chinese restaurant either! Only takeaway. Always wanted to see if there’s a difference. My takeaway order is sweet & sour chicken or beef in black bean sauce, prawn toast, fried rice, Chinese chips 😋, spring rolls... all of the Chinese food basically.

Italian - I like arancini balls for starter, I always seem to go for carbonara for main and I love tiramisu, it’s my favourite dessert.

McDonald’s - McChicken sandwich, large fries, strawberry nuggets and 20 nuggets 😆 or the cheese bites when they’re available.

Pizza - I like Papa Johns. Dominoes is plastic pizza IMO. I like pepperoni and jalapeños.

Wetherspoons - I like their burgers lol. Burger and a pint was my dinner in my student days between lectures.

Indian - chicken korma or Hyderabadi if they have it, pilau rice, saag aloo, saag paneer, garlic naan bread

In nandos I get the exact same every time, medium beanie pitta with avocado, side salad and peri peri chips

Italians- potatoe skins with garlic dip and any form of pasta, usually carbonara or Alfredo

Nando’s- never really go but if I did it would be the chicken wrap with spicy rice

I love food 😭

Indian food is my absolute fave!
My usual order would be: Chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, cheese and garlic naan and 2 popadoms 😂 (making me want one now 😭)

my boyfriend love a chippy purely because he hates spicy stuff so chippy kebabs tend to not be as bad, he always has doner kebab, chips, garlic Mayo, 2 sausages 😂

Chinese we can get these cute box meals so 5 chicken balls, rice, chips and a sauce for £6 winner.

also love Italian and can’t wait to go to a nice Italian restaurant after lockdown, bruschetta with loads of mozzarella 💓 and some kind of carbonara or arriabata - glass or Prosecco 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
