Skinny jeans and studded belts. Usually paired with DC’s or Converse. Very emo.

Baggy cargo trousers covered in strips of fabric.

Tartan trousers and oversized band hoodies or t-shirts. Lots of black nail polish.

Shell suits, ski pants and those floppy velvet hats (think Anna Chlumsky is My Girl) would feel ridiculous.

I remain very sorry that my wonderful tweed flares that I've had for many years no longer fit. I wish they did!

Some other stuff from my youth I actually would wear now - well not technically my youth but I’ve stolen a load of my mums old clothes from the 90s (we are the same size). I know they say if you’re young enough to remember the fashion the first time round don’t do it again but I can’t help it.

Me too! Especially ones I had in that weird shiny stretchy material that just felt so cheap!

I also loved the big baggy cargo pants that had straps hanging off them. Had them in every colour going! Wouldn’t dream of wearing them now though.

Later on, jeans with pinstripes, bleached jeans, shellsuits, oversized sweatshirt with bizarre patterns, baggy jeans/bootcuts.

Cowboy boots. I used to love mine, I had a pink pair.

Flared jeans as well. And tops with huge puffy sleeves. I remember in primary school it was own clothes day and I went in with a cream top on with puffy sleeves, flared jeans and my pink cowboy boots. My teacher told me i was the most stylish in the class

Anything with shoulder pads wasn‘t good as I have a short neck. Flared skirts fitted at the waist with cardigans also ribbed at the waist, with platforms, was really flattering. I had some dungarees which don’t really do much for anybody. I wish I’d kept a load of stuff from the New Romantic days but it would all be sitting in a bin bag somewhere.
