As for the tooth thing: if you eat really soft foods growing up, you're more likely to have a jaw that's too small to accommodate all your teeth. It's why wisdom tooth removals have really gone up since the industrial revolution-- the 20th century diet is a lot softer than the 16th century diet, and so your jaw doesn't develop as much due to lack of use. The traits aren't permanently changed by evolution or whatever-- if you were to raise your kids on really crunchy foods they'd be fine (and less likely to need their wisdom teeth removed!). Josie from what I've gathered eats almost exclusively soft foods, which would make it harder for her teeth to straighten out if they got crooked as a kid. A lot of people in the US with small jaws often get teeth removed, idk if Josie was interested in that tho.
