I have always found the tone of Mia’s videos a little odd so have never watched them but often see thumbnails that make me worry.

I’m a bit confused by YouTube’s Ts and Cs and age. I understands if you have a channel all content even 18+ is accessible by do you need to be 18 to have a channel?
I think you have to be 13 to have a channel

Ok so I’ve been rewatching some of mias videos. I’m liking them more again now tbh, I think it’s great she’s being allowed to experience the world e.g. skydiving, why not? With regards to education, she speaks well and grammatically correct, I’m sure she’s quite smart and who ever said she has to do GCSEs? She might not want to have a job requiring them. She’s fluent in Spanish which I’m sure will get her very far.

I think she is indeed very bright, but sadly many jobs today, and nearly all high paying positions, require some qualification. It's so impressive that she has been able to get to that level of Spanish, especially from teaching herself. But if she ever wants a job in that field, then she'll struggle. In areas such as translation work etc., they are not going to hire someone based off that person saying "I am fluent in Spanish." They don't care if you don't have any qualifications to back your claim up. She would struggle a lot trying to get a job in the language field. Even to work in McDonald's you need GCSEs. It seems that her career goal is to just be a youtuber. I'm not really sure how long that will last. It's certainly not enough to sustain her for the rest of her working life.

To add: she'd also have to study translations as well as specialising in a field. A lot of translator have a Master's degree in a different field.

Made me cringe btw when she mixed salt and lemon for the scrub, I'm just glad that the internet had only just become a thing when I was a teenager and there was no youtube..I have a feeling I would have loved to make videos 🥴

It would be great for Mia if they could “travel” to more Spanish speaking countries. I am sure that fits their ideal of experience learning better than Skype lessons. Also maybe Mia would want to integrate into the community a bit more.

I agree to disagree. Flight attendant for example. Doesn’t need qualifications and an additional language is very useful. She doesn’t necessarily need the highest paying job- I’m sure she’s quite rich already

Pretty sure you need English and maths gcse at least. Yes speaking a language is an advantage but it’s an advantage and will only be taking into consideration if you have the basic qualifications

Almost all jobs require you to have some GCSEs at least. Except maybe cleaning jobs or bar work. So there is always a benefit to having some. YouTube is not going to be a forever career. I think these young kids especially look to other youtubers that made it and think that will be them. When in reality it rarely happens like that. YouTube is old now. People will start to get bored of it soon enough and move on to something new.

I’m more worried about Sienna to be honest. She loves science and of course she’s only young but it could be a possible ambition of hers in the future to work in the science field. She’s also talked about space and wanting to be an astronaut. She will never be able to do either without proper qualifications. I really hope they put her in a proper school in the near future because she’s going to get a horrible dose of reality later on. Home school is good when it’s done properly which it’s not with them. It’s even more worrying when you realise youtube isn’t going to last forever, it’s already dying down compared to 2013-2016 youtube days. I really worry for her.

I'm sorry except bar work.
I'm guessing you have never worked in hospitality and dont understand it's not just pouring a few drinks and having a chat.

It’s sad to think that they have not only missed out on getting a education in a school, but also the fun things that come along with it like school trips and friendships. I think that learning how to interact with other people is also really important, but they don’t seem to socialise with anyone outside their family

I agree it's all well and good the kids saying they are well travelled but what have they seen Dubai the swimming pool and the apple shop in the mall

It makes me so mad that they claimed that the girls didn't need to go to school because they were being educated by the cultures of the world whilst they were travelling. What culture? I'm sorry but the only time this was true was when they lived in Gran Canaria. They've lived in England, the US and Dubai since then- not really much to be learned culturally is there? These children are simply not getting an education. We all saw how terrible Sienna's writing was in that video from a few months ago, and her doing 10 minutes a day of maths is a joke. I think "homeschooling" is just another part of their control- darren and georgie won't let them have their own friends, interact with anyone not in the family, or have their own ambitions.

fair enough, but hundreds of people do it and it’s becoming more and more common. Who ever says they won’t get GCSEs, they may have some other qualifications, doesn’t have to be the english version.

So about their Dubai penthouse...they "lost" it due to not being able to return for a while. I can understand why they wouldn't want to pay rent on it if they're going to be gone for an unknown amount of time. I think they bought that furniture though so it's theirs (unless the owner paid for the furnishings and just let them pick it out). If it's theirs then I guess they're leaving it there and can call it even with the owner instead of paying fees to break their lease early. What about Karmas toys though? I guess the owner will sell anything that won't be useful.

The word evicted means kicked out though, and I'm sure It was their choice to leave. Why would the owner care where they are in the world as long as the rent is being paid? It just seems like an insensitive term to use. Same with "homeless" when they've been in transit. They need to learn the difference between being on their way to their next place and being homeless.

Lots of farmers are worried by the increase of walkers touching gates and possibly spreading CV. They're important workers for food production so need to be protected. Seen lots of warnings on FB about not touching gates and there's Mia spinning over one and spreading blood on it (accidentally with the blood I know). They obviously haven't seen the warnings but it's metal and totally unnecessary in this instance.

What do poeple reckon they’re going to do? Do you think they’ll continue to live in Dubai but find another place to rent or because of this use it as an opportunity to live for a while in another country?

They must have left stuff in dubai surely? They wouldn't have packed up everything they own for a few weeks in the UK.

Anyone else really liking the new vlogs again on fizz family? Reminds me of their Gran Canaria days. No challenges, just their everyday lives :)
