facial hair removal

does anyone have facial hair which they have removed? If so what method do you recommend?

I'm naturally blond but I've noticed my upper lip and also to the left and right of the side of my mouth and my chin, are quite a bit darker and also quite long. I would like to try and remove it, no idea what is best though!

I’ve been dermaplaning but it has made me really break out so I’ve not bothered doing it after the first few times. Maybe my face hair is somehow keeping the grease levels down? For upper lip I used to wax every so often.

I for reasons unknown (no PCOS or hormonal irregularities) developed some pretty bad facial hair in my teens. I got this lasered years ago. BEST THING I EVER DID. Have had a good 95ish percent perm eradication and I have once yearly top up session. Occasionally I’ll deal with random hairs - have a few they sprout on my under chin and on my upper lip. But I think most women get the upper lip anyway.
All hail laser hair removal. The confidence surge was real following that.

Yes! Completely agree. I am genetically quite hairy (thanks dad!) - I started using the Phillips Lumea when I was barely 14/15 and it does wonders. It really stunted my hair growth from regrowing every 2/3 days to now a month without even needing to touch the areas.

You will have some areas which are really stubborn and the Phillips may not work. For me, that was my face and arm pits. I got them professionally lasered. Paid around £80 per session and had 6 sessions which was all I needed. Not grown back and its been 2 years!

I think if you have the money, go straight down the professional laser route. Its quick, easy and cost effective in the long run. If you want something thats within a decent budget and dont mind putting hours in to it (depending on area!) then go for the Lumea. Bare in mind, you only get a certain number of zaps with the Lumea too. Ours lasted over 3 years with two people using it so I think it was well worth the money in that respect but it was so much effort sitting there zapping away lol

May I know how you removal your vibrissa?
I am in trouble with my nose hair. Does anyone use this tool? It removes nose hair through the wax bean.
Is it painful when pulling out the nose hair?

I use hair removal cream for my tache and it works well! Just use a super drug one at the moment

I've got one of these which I use for my upper lip. It was a couple of quid in Primark. Works quite well and I'm brunette so have dark upper lip hair.

I use a Japanese facial shaving blade I get off Amazon, far far better than those battery powered Veet efforts I’ve also used and also really good for a dermaplaning treatment .

The Veet also has an attachment for going up the nose and I find that really effective.

Another vote here for Philips Lumea! Genuinely life-changing as someone with PCOS, pale skin and dark hair. It regularly goes on offer for half price on Amazon and well worth investing when it does.
