It makes me laugh how so much people are complaining about "McLaren dominance" and how it ruins the sport when we had 7 different winners so far, 2 maiden wins, 4 teams really close to each other. Like this season is actually crazy!
And the only race that McLaren trully dominated in a Red Bull way was Zandvoort last week. All the other race have been pretty close.

@veronica71 In answer to your question on previous thread (just had to break off to say goodbye to the eldest jellybean who's off to uni again ) I think by next year, all the cars will be much more equal. By the end of this season I think McLaren may lose this huge advantage. They can start on the 26 cars until Jan/Feb so don't think there will be huge changes to any of them but Lewis in a Ferrari might be a challenge. It could give us an even more chaotic season than this one

it’s one of the best season since 2021 - are people complaining because it’s McLaren? But that’s one of those stories of a team struggling since the big penalty, been at the back in 2023 and now lock at them? They worked their ass off for that success and every win is well deserved

The one i saw complaining were mostly Max and Charles fans. I think it is more that it is Lando who is bothering them that McLaren. There would probably have less complain if it was OscarMcLaren dominance
The Lando hate is so much on twitter that i saw Oscar fans praying for the McLaren downfall and i am like ?? You know your fave drivers for them, if they fall he falls too
But fortunatelly twitter is not an accurate représentation of the reality. Every fans i spoke too are really enjoying it. It is like 2021 but without the drama (for now)

McLaren dominance
Its the Lando haters - Lewis and Max fans are now friends cos their hate for Lando is greater than their hate for each other - make it make sense. I hate all the hate - would be a tit series if only our faves raced against themselves ffs
So will Mercedes release Lewis so he can be in that Ferrari for the testing after the last race? If not, hopefully they have plans to put him in the old car for some laps and maybe do run some qualy simulation stints?
otherwise maybe Lewis and Checo need to bond over his Mexican alcohol free drink and share the pain about not been good in qualifying
and Toto - this is all down to you!!! You could have let Lewis have his 3 year contract last year, let him finish his career at Mercedes and built Kimi up slowly and with a good groundwork now to be successful. You do not need to be 19 to win the championship - look at Lando, who stuck with McLaren and even did a year groundwork outside of a car..and if there is a career plan and possible contract done, you could also get your hands on Kimi

Bearman and Antonelli are just chaos children. Neither of them giving an inch, it's probably a good thing one of them will be in a Haas and the other in a Mercedes next year. Keep them apart!

Maybe the historic McLaren/Ferrari rivalry is going up a gear? Tbf there have always been very entrenched camps, but there's this weird thing where nowadays you can't just dislike a driver but you have to completely disregard his achievements and talent. Saying that, some of the Lando fans acting like he's the next Senna when he's won 2 races are just as frustrating. Surprised about the Oscar fans though....they always seem the most balanced ones from what I see! As someone who's faves have almost all retired, it's a fab season and who knows, maybe neither Max OR Lando are going to win it. Its still mathematically possible (just!) and a 2010 finish would be EPIC!
