Just caught up on the last few episodes. Phew!
The near death sequence was quite well done, I thought. It was a shock to see Holly, they kept that well under wraps.
Cain and Ruby, just didn't make sense. Even when she went into the garage, there was no surge of sexual tension at all - it just didn't sit right that they felt the need ravage each other there and then!
Like others have said, Cain's character has shown so much growth over the years, I don't think he would have made those kind of impulsive choices now - I know it was supposed to show that under extreme pressure, the old Cain is still just under the surface and I can imagine him using aggression and drinking but the Ruby thing seemed too clunky!
I guess that now Caleb has seen the emergency contraception packet, Ruby will make up some excuse that it was Stephanie's and then she will get Steph to go along with it. One of them, Mother or Daughter is gong to be pregnant and I guess that will be the Christmas bombshell storyline?
On a side note and I think I've said it here before but when Caleb and Nicky had that big falling out over The home farm and Gabby Wedding palava, I'm sure Caleb and Nicky had a discussion about Nicky going back to stay with his Mum and Sister. Am I going crazy because I'm sure at the beginning, it wasn't mentioned that Ruby and Steph were estranged but that they were actually living together?
Also, I can't bear Caleb and Ruby being so self righteous about her parents not liking Caleb and kicking her out when she got pregnant as if Ruby and Caleb proved them wrong and lived as a happy family unit forever after. They weren't even together for a year when Caleb first came into it and when Ruby did arrive, he hated her and wanted a divorce.
