I think I'll wait till it is a little less busy, before I go to a pub. I don't really like crowds, in normal circumstances.

I went back to work today and went into town , the pub garden was HEAVING , most things were open anyway in town most days but the pub garden was like it was last summer when it gets realllly busy . There was a queue too of about 15 people waiting for a table to become free

I’m at the hairdressers now, and I’m going to go in a few shops afterwards as I need birthday presents. It’s just nice to feel normal!

I haven’t been to the shops or pub. I did go to the supermarket which was packed and had to drop ds2 at the train station so he could go back to uni and the traffic was horrendous. Also noticed lots of people at various bus stops all seemingly with primark bags.
Dd (15) went into town with friends today and went into several shops. She said the only one without a queue was Waterstones. She said the queues moved quickly though. Would have hated to have been retail staff today.
I’ve always been a fan of online shopping though and if I go to the shops prefer going to larger shopping centres than my local and so can wait to do that until we can go without masks and queues.
It’s my birthday tomorrow and dh and wants to go to the pub but I’m not bothered about that although no doubt we will end up going.

No shopping or pubs for me as I'm working from home until second jab but we went for a swim this morning and it was just lovely to get some exercise out the house.

Do worry that restrictions lifting going to cause a big spike but let's hope not.

I'm quite lucky in where I live, got a few country pubs with big beer gardens on my doorstep so we were spoiled for choice really, didnt even needed to book!
Enjoyed my 2 pints early this afternoon in the gorgeous sunshine!
Don't think I couldve gone anywhere near the city centre, my mate went to IKEA at lunchtime though and said it was quiet.

I’m in Wales so we have to wait for gym and pub  Our Shops opened but I’m in no rush to get back, simply because I hate queues!

Didn't go, but I have a week off work next week so will probably go out and enjoy myself then!

Met people in the pub garden after work yesterday. Felt quite strange, but liberating. People settled back into the swing of things quickly. Going tomorrow as well after work to a different place with a few people, hopefully get a meal. Missed a pub lunch/tea!

Probably won't get much of the shopping side done until next week.

I’m currently working away but I just wondered how other peoples experiences were with the pubs / shops / gyms open today? Did it make you feel positive like the end is in sight? :)
