Last night i had a horrible scary dream, in the dream i was in the same position and everything that i was in when i fell asleep so it felt so real , i tried to wake up but when i did i hadnt actually woke up but was in another dream (so it was like in my dream i was in another dream) when i finally woke up i felt really odd and unsettled for ages. Anyone else had anything similar or crazy things happen in their sleep?

I’ve had that before, it’s horrible and can feel so realistic! I wish we didn’t dream tbh as I’m always having nightmares

I have this one reoccurring nightmare where I’m in danger (someone’s trying to break into my house, I’m being followed, being chased etc) and I need to call the police but I can’t reach them. I’ll always have a phone in my hand but I can’t get them. Sometimes the phone doesn’t work, sometimes it keeps going to a wrong number, sometimes they don’t answer. The scenario always changes but it’s the same theme!

My boyfriend never remembers his dreams and I’m jealous tbh 😂

I have a recurring dream where I'm trying to run but my body is going in slow motion and I can barely move. Also dream that I'm flying a lot. I used to have those really short shock dreams where you'd fall on a kerb or something but thankfully don't have them as much anymore.

My hubby doesn't remember his dreams either. I've always had odd ones and i quite like waking up thinking, well that was random! But scary one's are awful and like yours when you cant do something is so irritating 😕 x

Some nights my dreams are absolutely mental and I have no idea why. Last night there was a huge tidal wave and then the propellers of a boat just chasing people, then I was on the roof of an old house where I lived as a child with some family members. Sometimes my mums in the dream, sometimes my first love lol? It’s all very bizarre. I had cheese yesterday so I’m gonna put it down to that

last night I dreamt I was in the airport with Bam Margera, Travis Barker, Marilyn Manson and Steve-o. We were flying somewhere and I remember in the dream I had a huge crush on Bam so was trying to make him like me... then I remember being in a car with them and they were making me drive through these icy lanes and snow etc and I was crashing into cars in front of me and beside me but it was almost like bumper cars? It was soooo weird. I woke up because my alarm went off, I reset it for a later time and then had another dream that I caught my boyfriend emailing other girls saying he fancied them and when I confronted him he started to blame me for it.. I woke up from that dream even more freaked out lol.

My dreams have always been absolutely mental, I have multiple per night. I also have nightmares almost every night too :( I only have maybe 1 or 2 nice dreams a year. I do get some super scary and horror themed ones but mostly they're just unpleasant, e.g. I'm back at school but missed the school bus, I'm on holiday/at a festival but forgot to bring anything (always have this one) or have to abseil down a building or ride in a rollercoaster without being strapped in.

Last night's one was my boyfriend was climbing Everest (currently reading a book on the topic) and I was waiting for him on the South Summit. Once he reached the top I then tobogganed down which was scary but I made it. Then went to a party in celebration at YouTuber Tiffanyferg's house BUT I CHEATED ON HIM with Teddy from Love Island so that was stressful. Anyway Tiffany ended up finding out because I left a bloody tampon on the floor which she DNA tested - don't ask me how - and told everyone. Just w.t.f

I have two recurring dreams. One is that all my teeth are falling out and the other is that I'm doing my A levels again, it's my history exam and I'm panicking because I realise I haven't studied for it.

I loved history all through primary school and right up along. Then when I did it for A levels, I had an absolutely horrible teacher who picked on me and told me that I hadn't a hope of getting a good grade, I was going to fail etc etc. I got an A, but years later this still effects me.

That's apparently a very common anxiety dream. I've had similar dreams loads of times.

I do tend to have very strange dreams, as I've occasionally posted in other threads.

They reckon people who remember their dreams, wake up during their dream whereas those who finish their dream cycle don’t remember. Which is why indigestion and other conditions can keep your sleep cycles lighter so you remember them more - you‘re easier to wake etc. I read a study once that described dreaming as sort of like a defrag process but for your daily experiences and memories (anyone who owned a DOS-based operating system will know what I mean).

My elderly aunt, who was very into dreams had lots of opinions. Like if if you dream you are being chased or wrestling with an intruder is you wrestling with a dilemma or problem whilst not being able to get through to anyone on a telephone is you feeling that you are struggling to communicate or get through to someone.

I was always told to pay attention when you’re dreaming you are in your house - apparently sometimes your dreams might be heightened by health conditions. I have problems with acid reflux so have woken up dreaming my kitchen has caught fire and when my other aunt got diagnosed with macular degeneration (blindness), beforehand she kept dreaming of dirty and broken windows.

Brains are awesome. I’m really jealous of lucid dreamers though - they know when they are dreaming and can change the “landscape” a bit.

The most recurring dream I have is that my teeth are falling out, or that I’m in a car rolling into a lake/out of control on the road but can’t stop myself from crashing. I always wake up during them very unsettled.

Although did have a bizarre one the other day where I dreamed I was watching myself sleep in my room, turned around to see a man also watching me sleep, but before I could tell him to duck off he dropped dead and I was then told by a psychic who appeared 💀 ‘your boyfriend, he’s just dropped dead’. I woke up quite spooked, made sure no one was watching me and drifted off again. I don’t have a boyfriend but if I do he might drop dead so, silver linings and all that ;)

I find dreams fascinating. The fact that animals, like dogs and cats, dream too. And the symbolism behind them as a PP said. Dreaming about losing teeth is usually a sign of anxiety in waking life.

I had a dream that I had a menagerie of parakeets, cockatoos, parrots, and about thirty more tiny eggs waiting to hatch. My favorite type of content on IG are birds that sing, dance, and play with their owners. I could never own a bird for a whole list of reasons but to dream about it was nice. 😊

I love birds especially parrots, African Grey’s being my favourite! Sounds like a lovely dream!

I think last nights dream was my weirdest yet... my next door neighbour was mowing the lawn in her bikini at 2am 😂

Lately I've been having dreams my ex is trying to kill me.
My most recurrent ones are that I'm being shot/attacked and can't run or scream, that my teeth are falling out, that im out with no knickers on and the awful falling dreams where you wake up with a start.

I dream often that my parents are civil with each other and are in the same room happily getting on. It's weird. I hate dreaming that..

I dreamt that planting tiny seeds could grow tiny hovering puffer fish on my windowsill and I could — totally unbeknownst to me — be tracked by koala bears indoors. In the dream there was one baby koala nestled in my things and it looked like a hedgehog. Oh and my flat was actually a sectioned off portion of a disused airy open-plan office weirdly located in an upscale mall?! Any takers on what my dream could mean lol

I often dream that I'm watching a plane crash and for some strange reason it's always at my mum and dad's house where I haven't lived for over 20 years

I often dream that I'm at my grandparents house (last one died 21 years ago) and that my teeth are loose. They haven't fallen out, but they are wobbly...

Weird, weird dream: The assistant working a bakery counter in the supermarket left her post and tried to sell me on expensive things throughout the store: Something called Sweaty Pig milk, $11/gallon; GF red velvet eclairs in a vacuum sealed pack of 12, $18/pack; high end truffles with pieces missing, $50/box. Everything was the so-called best.
