That’s good advice. Any other tips are welcome I was going to stay in Waikiki as a base and travel all over Oahu? What u think? Waikiki just for a day instead?

I mean it is a decent base and a lot of the main "attractions" are nearby. North shore etc is a good hour drive away (a car is a must). But really it is a beach with a strip of high rise hotels along it (and hard to find restaurants that aren't just hotel ones that are full of other people).

Definitely hike diamond head. Its not too challenging but the views are definitely worth it. Go early to avoid the heat and the worst of the crowds.

The best thing I did was two photography tours with a company. Took me to lots of spots I wouldn't have been to with great tour guides and they help you get great shots (even if its just you with your camera phone).

Madagascar is my number one!
I’d love to take my boyfriend to Zanzibar - I went about 15 years ago and the beaches are like what I’d imagine the Caribbean must have been like before tourism hit. It’s such an interesting place too, such a mix of cultures.

You’re right it is. And I feel I’ve been to so many places but seeing some of your dream destinations have made me realise I haven’t been to more than half of the places! Love it though lots of inspo x

New York is incredible! @Tinkerbell cat I would say the best time to go is the summer time! I had the best time!

I travelled around and stayed in a hotel on Times Square for part of the trip. Went to Broadway for a show. It’s so magical

We were supposed to go last June for my partners birthday but obviously covid happened I really want to visit 9/11 Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Coney Island, Time Square, See Chuck Bass house I can not wait to go.. whenever that may be though is another question.

Whats your dream destination?

Mine is Eden Rock-St Barths. Would love to do maybe a week there and a week in Anguilla. Has anyone been to either?

That would be a dream but it's just so expensive

Japan. My daughter lived there for a year in college and it looks amazing. She's planning to go back once things settle down and the plan is to visit.

New York - that's my holiday for 2022 touch wood. Always meant to go but stuff happened that knocked it on the head.

Scotland has been voted one of the most beautiful countries in the world on numerous occasions. I’ve always thought of a holiday as abroad but, now I really want to explore the UK. Just a shame about the rain!

Also, I found Paris to be a major let down - don’t put it at the top of your list if you decide to go away!

I've done a week volunteering in Gambia and could never go as a tourist after seeing the poverty there. In fact a couple in our hotel who had gone for an all inclusive beach hol ended up coming with us every day helping out and said it made their holiday a million times better than they'd planned. Their friends wondered what had happened when they messaged saying what they'd been up to
