What it highlights is how, sadly, the web has become coarsened and in ,amy cases, downright dangerous, as the general public has interacted.

Notwithstanding the inevitable curses from old-school web users, it seems to me inevitable that the web now has to be treated as an extension of everyday life and policed accordingly. Signally this is not happening at present, and it is easy to see how different cultural interpretations may clash. e.g. the average North American seems more liberal about the interpretation of 'free speech', than the average European, and yet reacts more violently when sanctioning a breach
