With its hideously left wing biased reporting brain washing the U.K. and ‘Land of Woke and Glory’ being its latest hideously embarrassing balls up in a long and shameful list, I’m curious, are people still paying their tv licences?

Was thinking about it but purely based on the fact that their output has massively declined in quality over the past 10yrs. Can’t remember the last time I watched anything in the beeb.

Me either, the last thing I watched on there was Killing Eve, but I downloaded that from the US instead of watching it live 🤣

No but I did do my homework before I cancelled. I watch netflix mainly, occasionally subscribe to nowtv entertainment for some box sets, I’ve got itv player, 4player and my 5 which I can watch catch up on. I just can’t watch live tv or bbc I player which is fine as can’t remember the last time I even wanted to watch anything on bbc and I’ve unplugged my aerial.Tbh I don’t even really use the 3/4/5 players as there’s not much in there either (with the exception of Christmas films on 5!) I went over these things with someone at tv license and they said that’s fine x

In my house it's not a case of Do you still pay your television license, we've just started paying for ours.

Yes, I was being harassed, even had one turn up in the evening shining his torch through my letterbox, banging my door with it like a baton so put a removed implied right of access notice up as well as ringing them stating such as all harrassment ceased.

I've never paid for one in my life and I dont intend to. What they stand for isn't for me.

No not anymore. Eventually everything ends up on Netflix anyway. You used to be allowed to not have a license but still watch iPlayer.

I stopped paying my TV license when they had Farage and other UKIP nasties being racists on Question Time every other week and have never paid it since.

Anti British Broadcasting Company

Poor Lord Reith
Must be spinning in his grave
At the way the BBC behave

They once had the audience
In the palm of their hand
But they've pissed people off
With the things that they've banned

The current agenda at the BBC
Is to lecture the masses
For an exorbitant fee

I only just caught the Netflix hype and wow - so many BBC box sets on there, I’ll hardly need iPlayer anymore. We currently have the license but we do have Amazon Prime Video as well. Between the 2 streaming services we are more than covered. It seems draconian that peoples’ houses are being checked for watching TV, in 2020. Just tax us a tiny bit more and use that money rather the threaten people and exclude people.

Nope ❌❌❌❌❌ haven’t paid it for about 89 years.

I moved into a new build just under 2 years ago and they send a letter literally once a month claiming someone will visit soon, signing the letter off with some tit computer signature.
Although the sly buggers even posted a little leaflet that was made to look like a red ‘we’ve missed you’ card that royal mail leave if they have a parcel and left a number to call up on 🙄😱😂 dodgy fuckers 😂

If you have any can you cancel your TV licence? Would you have to just make sure that you didn't accidentally click on a BBC channel? Would they know if you did?

£150 a year would be far better in my daughter's savings account than lining the NOT INPARTIAL BEEB! (Disagree wholely with OP left wing comment btw 🤪 Laura K political editor may as well be a member of the Tory party )

So I have friends who have never paid a TV license

But I think I have too much anxiety not to pay it 🤣

a few years ago I just moved into a new house, got the TV up and running etc

No word of a lie I got about 3 minutes into planet earth and I felt the fear as it was bbc 🤣

I had to pause it and apply and pay because I was scared 🤣

See for me planet Earth is worth the license fee alone. Whether or not you can view it on Netflix, without the license revenue it won’t get made
