I bought a personalised dummy clip and she was very lucky I even gave her the business. I wanted blue beads, she made it in green and said that is all she had left. When I said I didn't want it then, she suddenly plucked a blue one out of her arse but spelt my sons name wrong. She wanted to charge me half of the extra clip for the "work" that went into shoving 7 beads on a yarn. Then appologised and said ignore her, she is having a bad day.

Like I said VERY lucky she still got my business.

I find many of the Insta shops are just handpicked stock from Ali Express and the like. Most are just the same item with a different cunt selling them.

I also bought a crocheted custom outfit for my son from a lovely lady who made Romany baby clothes and she was good. The outfit so cheap too, as I know other insta shops who would have charged double, even triple the price!

Never because you are never sure about the quality and huge hassle to return stuff and get your money back. Rather use Amazon or eBay

Nope never, I’m so fed up with all the tat that pops up on my Instagram feed, feels like every two posts I scroll through I get a random advert for some shit. I’d rather get handmade stuff from Etsy or order from local small businesses.

I love the handmade ones but they're a bit pricey.

There seems to be an influx of 'influencers' setting up their own which all seem to stock the same things lol, particularly kids stuff. Seems overpriced for what it is! And all from the same supplier?

100% agree.

I know someone who sells 'handmade' fascinators, hairbands and other little bits like that online. Her fascinators start around £40. I know for a fact that she buys them on Wish & AliExpress for less than a fiver

I had a baby last summer and got sucked into all the handmade shops on Instagram and Facebook. It’s been a real mixed bag to be fair, some are great and some are awful!
Really wish there was more places to discuss or check quality, it seems almost the unspoken secret that some sellers are just absolutely atrocious! Slowly going back to only buying from the high street or places like Fred and Noah who will actually fix problems if they occur.

This is a risk I do take to be fair. I can never be bothered to return stuff from the likes of BooHoo and Asos that don't fit as it is. My neighbours teenage daughter is very lucky as I've probably kitted her out in her entirety giving her all the stuff I've ordered which don't fit or suit me.

Yeah I've bought the odd thing that's been lovely quality but very expensive!

My sister bought some bits for my nieces and they arrived a month later from China with awful stitching etc 🤔
