Husband earns a lot more than me so I couldn’t split things equally and live like we do. Both our wages go into joint account to cover mortgage, bills etc. then we each have an allowance of £1000 transferred into our personal accounts.

I don’t always spend it all depending on what I have going on each month so whatever I don’t use I’ll stick into my own savings account which will go towards a nice bigger purchase such as a bag or something like a girls trip.

€1500 each (we are DINKS, with a mortgage and high maintenance dog 😅) I am trying to start building more savings after a year of holidays and living the life, so will reduce that in the months ahead and put more aside for the future

I know there's a savings thread but I'd be interested to know, how much disposable income do you give yourself each month (after paying for all bills, savings etc)

Yes, I'm nosey! And trying to be a better budgeter :)

Personally about 2k per month. My husband much higher as he earns about 4x my wage now. We don’t have joint accounts so I’m never quite sure 😂
