I wonder whar this thread has got in store for us. Hot gal single summer is still on the horizon for most of us, and we are still trying to find our knight in shining armour but we get twats in tinfoil (to quote @Losa53 )

Good morning

I just wanted to share that I started the day off with a long leisurely walk listening to a yoga podcast. I made myself a takeaway coffee and feel so calm and relaxed no.

There were lots of lovely people of all genders walking their dogs... maybe a good way to meet someone in real life?

Not keen on being productive though

Do you also miss some (former?) daters? Where is @squarespoon, Betty and the quirky lady who got together with the guy after their first date with their dogs?

Hi everyone I had taken a break from dating for a long time. Unfortunately I have since got back with the narc that that messed me up when I initially started commenting on these posts.
It is slightly different this time ( I know, I'd be rolling my eyes at this too) and I dont see him that often which is my choice. I've also rejoined Bumble again but haven't much interest in it.
I'm still as complicated as ever but thankfully no breakdowns since last November

ha, i don’t date either so i do sometimes feel like a fraud on this thread. i know i keep saying this, but i think my lack of patience with men has me in a catch-22 a friend just sent me an awful message she has received from a guy that she’s been casually seeing where he belittles and patronises her throughout and her message to me was “made me laugh!” i was like LAUGH? it didn’t make me laugh, why do we let men get away with this all the time?!

i’m lazy with it too, so i feel you on the song with money stuff at the moment too, i’m like do i want to spend my electricity money on a passable glass of chardonnay (and train home!) with a guy who may also only be passable?! idk.

So me and that guy never exchange messages at all yesterday until he said ' you were giving me times your available Friday' I replied ' oh so we can chat about the 2nd date but no general chit chat like before' he started getting crappy so I've just deleted his number.
On a brighter note my sister has set a date for her wedding next year so I'm buying a smaller bridesmaid dress and I have a year to get my arse into it
I also need to buy a nice dress for the upcoming engagement party

I asked you if he was scottish, if he is I could give you a thousand more details to see if it's actually him.

He also told me he came from an almost decade long relationship which ended badly (her fault of course) and she kept his beloved dog. I know your guy mentioned cats but if it is the same guy he lies so much that he probably used cats with you if you're more of a cat person and dog with me because I'm a dog person.

Hi All, I’m still about and popping in occasionally. Think there is a great supportive bunch of posters giving some good advice to one another. There has also been a lot of growth from people who’ve been members for a long time that is heartening to see - it’s almost like the collective drives people up to expect more from their interactions with men, not to put up with crappy behaviour, and to be kind to themselves.

That was always my message along with don’t force it, take a break when it stops being fun, so I haven’t felt the need to post!

There are still some occasions where I see people not taking their own advice but who doesn’t do that from time to time if we really like someone or want to make it work? I’m all for second chances if you think the person deserves another shot, and if you think you’ll be left thinking ‘what if?’ but don’t let it become a pattern because once you set a precedent for backing down they’ll clock it and may take advantage.

I really am rooting for everyone to find their special someone in whatever form they want that to take
