Cyclic breast pain

Does anyone have cyclic breast pain?
Its when about a week before your period your breast start to hurt a lot?
It's normal and a lot of women experience this kind of discomfort but mine started a few months to a year ago and I find it really annoying.
Google tells me certain vitamins can help but does anyone have experience with other remedies or what worked for them?

I get it in one breast only and have done for over 20 year , I heard evening primrose oil is ment to help but I don't take them

Yes heard that one to, I know bought Vitex Agnus see if that works, flaxseed and Vitamine E. Just because it's starting to annoy me so much.

Yes it is normal, nothing to worry about but thought maybe some advise to relief it a bit..

Yes I get this too. I do take a woman’s multi vitamin but it doesn’t seem to do much. I’ve just put up with it for 20+ years really.

Yip! Same. Pain for years. Then wait till you hit menopause, gets worse. I took starflower oil to help. Now on HRT, and it has eased the pain too

omg I get this terribly about a week sometimes a week and a half before my period makes me worry allot but then I realise allot of people get it strange as almost as soon as my period starts tho it goes !

I used to suffer from it terribly as a teen, but now I hardly get it (touch wood). I didn’t do anything to get rid of it so I guess it must be hormonal.

If you are in a lot of pain, it might be a good idea to see a doctor so you can rule out fibrocystic breast changes. Somebody I know has it and her main symptom was bad cyclic breast pain. It’s not a disease and has nothing to do with cancer, but the cysts can make it more difficult to detect tumours during tests.

Yeh i do breas checks myself and it all feels just like it had always does and indeed they day of period its all gone. But I will keep it in mind, thanks!

I believe I have this! It’s always my left boob though, also tends to feel painful on that side of the rib area and the pain can last for weeks. Back when I was 18 I found a lump in the left one and had to go to the hospital for a scan, luckily it was just a cyst and it went away, strange how I’ve never had problems with the right!
I actually went to the doctors about it the other week, she checked them and said they felt ok and told me to try some deep freeze gel as it has ibuprofen in it. I only tried it the once before bed so I’m not sure if it actually helped. I’ve had the pain for years though

I get it fairly often in both. I have just put up with it for 20 odd years. It sucks, and they feel so heavy for 3-4 days before my period starts. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn’t happen at all. I have never heard of any remedies for the pain so I’m curious about the starflower and evening primrose oils… I’m actually scheduled for a breast reduction in June so with any luck it will hurt less with smaller boobs!!

I get this on and off, I always get pain/ache a few days before but alately I’ve been noticing I’ll get like electric shock pains in one boob and aching like 10 days before on the odd occasion. Very strange.

Them shooting pains are awful! 🥲

After my last period my boobs started to have a slight burn sting mainly the left one on left side and it seems to come and go , the sensation reminds me a bit of breast feeding my boobs feels normal so I’m sure it’s just hormonal seems very common in a lot of women , I’m due on end of this week so will see if clears after this and if not I will prob speak to doctor

It's always a good idea to see a doctor, just to make sure!
