I follow some fitness influencers. It’s my decision to read up on what they say. These people they are like sheep they follow what people say. They should be questioning, reading about what they are doing. I don’t think that’s Courtney’s fault. During quarantine she’s kept a lot of us sane. I follow her work outs through her app and her lives depending on my times. I don’t follow her legs or glutes as does nothing for me and I can say I have a great arse 🤣🤣. Just people are so sheep like now a days they believe anything without questioning. All spoon fed. We are responsible for ourselves. If there’s an exercise equipment I do have at home or at the gym I improvise after find out what body I’m targeting these people don’t do that. That’s on them not Courtney she cannot be responsible. She’s trying to encourage people and create a brand. Yes she’s following the money but I believe she will be picky soon once she has the right amount of followers. It’s her age as well I think we al forget she’s still super young.

She has explained that to people on numerous times. If you want to find out then you have to download the app but there’s plenty of avenues you can use to find this information out for free. Also it’s trial and error for yourselves.
Also I like it she encourages a higher carb diet. Which by the way too many influencers don’t. I follow a higher carb diet as I’m very active (not at the moment ). I’ve found the more carbs you eat the more energy you have and in the long run you will gain more muscle. You will need a certain amount of protein. I count my macros always have and I enjoy it as it disciplines me. But I have come to the point where I measure by eye.
I guess I haven’t looked at her Facebook group as I don’t have Facebook but people have to be accountable for their own actions. If they want to get fit, eat right they should read around and not take people’s word for it.
Maybe when influencers go on about diet I switch off so maybe I’ll listen out more. Is she telling people to not eat sweets bla bla bla.
By the way watch Krissy Cela. She’s great and Linn Lowes loved her since day one. Very honest women especially Linn but be warned not the best accent in the world. Linn has great amount of knowledge.
I agree with the high carb and her encouraging it but maybe should try to explain it more. After all these people are paying money for the privilege of saying they’ve been #trainedbycourtney. Personally I think I am hyper sensitive to anything around diet because in the past I have spiralled
She has really greats legs and arms but was quite surprised by her tummy this morning. Was actually nice to see something real, obvs she still has a 6 pack though 😂
What did she post of her tummy?

This mornings workout she pulled her shorts down to her hips

I am 6 weeks into the Kayla Itsines bikini body guide and seeing results and enjoying the program although it is HARD.

I am thinking about downloading the app for Courtney once I’ve completed Kaylas program as I think the reviews seem amazing.

Would you recommend?

I had a look at Kaylas workout program before but the calories were like 1200 a day. Is it still like that? I love Courtney’s app. The workouts are hard but you burn loads of calories and I saw results pretty quickly.

I only follow Kaylas exercise routine and not the Food/calories. I have been going to the gym for over a year but only seen real definition in my abs, arms and legs over the last 6 weeks by following her program. My diet is fine so I’m more keen on the exercise than food although new recipes are always a good thing.

What I like about Kaylas is it gives you a clear guide for 12 weeks. Do this on this day, this on this day, etc. Does her app do the same?

I don’t want to think about my workouts. I’d rather there was just a set plan for me to follow and she thinks about what days are abs/legs etc.

There’s 2 different ways you can do it - there’s the live workouts which are what she does on her Instagram every day (the schedule is on her Instagram but it does tell you the day on the video too) or you can do the “phases” which are basically just a list of timed exercises you have to do. The live workouts are amazing but I can’t say anything about the phases as I’ve not tried them

I’m the same. Only do her live workouts as I feel they motivate me more. Maybe once lockdown is over and the loves aren’t as frequent I may do the other exercises or when the gyms re open.

I changed from joe wicks to Courtney after paying for joes 90 day plan as I found his workouts too boring and I was always clock watching. I love Courtney’s workouts as her enthusiasm is infectious it’s like being in a gym class, plus I burn twice as many calories as joe wicks. I think she’s young and will take what she can while she’s building up her brand, I can’t fault her for that really. Yes she has an Apple watch but I like to think the reason she advertised that watch is because a lot of her followers are young and probably can’t afford it so she’s showing them the next best thing.

I usually do the joe wicks HIIT but going to try her HIIT this morning to see what I think. I struggle with sticking to her live workout times as I have two kids so being ready for 8am can be challenging but I will do it today and if it’s better than joes I’ll make the time for it as best I can.

Just finished it. I burnt 60 more calories doing hers compared to joes on Monday. Phew was intense and a bit too quick for me at times I felt like I was flying about everywhere where as with joes I feel like my form is better, do others feel this way?

Was fun though and I feel good after it and her energy is definitely infectious, I would have given up 5 minutes into it if she hadn’t kept me going.

Yeah she does keep you going. I had to give up on the second part of the abs round but still burned loads of calories.

I just try and do what I can, I never get as many reps as her but I’d rather make sure I’m doing them right.

I wonder if she reads this thread. She uploaded an IGTV on her eating disorder and talks a lot about not depriving yourself etc. Lots of comments earlier on how she often refers to diet culture etc. And now she’s going against that. Interesting watch!

I have really enjoyed this weeks workouts! Boxing was great.

the posts on her group are scary though, so much misinformation spread it’s quite scary (not from her, from followers)

Agree. Think it’s time to unfollow it. Plus it fills me with dread reading it when I haven’t done the workout yet. Makes me not want to do them.

Started her app 3 weeks ago and been following the diet advice. The calories it limits me to is about 1400 but when I log my food that’s just my normal meals and replacing my biscuits and crisps with low fruit and veg. I’ve been getting on fine, clothes are definitely looser, lost 3 kilos. She is a bit loud but I love that she does the workout with you, obviously gets tired during, she’s more human than any trainer I’ve had in a gym!!

I’ve been doing her workouts throughout lockdown and do really like them, but she can be annoying and actually quite rude sometimes.

You can tell she thinks she’s funny but some of her blunt comments are a bit 😳 I mentioned this on another thread but the other day someone commented something along the lines of “so sore today but ready to go!” at the start of the live and she snapped about “stop moaning everyone’s sore get on with it”

It’s one thing being a “motivator” but you still need to engage and encourage the people you’re training

totally. It’s coz it’s full of teenage girls who want to be Courtney and think she’ll be their mate if they buy the sweatshop warrior tat she peddles and upload it to insta

She was even worse a month or so back. She’s definitely toned the rudeness down now her following has grown / seen the scope for what £ she can earn

I personally don’t think she’s rude. You need a trainer whose blunt sometimes. As there’s only so much time. Blunt doesn’t necessarily mean rude. I heard it too she probably miss heard. I think she’s getting her energy levels up as she has to train herself and other people. Not easy especially when so many are watching you. I think she’s done well. Also when so many are watching you and you got one person saying they are sore she doesn’t want others to be put off. When you are training consistently from time to time you are sore and have to get on with it. Yes it’s blunt but we can’t always sugar coat everything. She’s 23 she’s still young. She’s also learning herself. Yes she does have a young following only thing I find interesting is everyone whose lost weight has lost weight as they are not socialising and drinking like before. It will all change.
My only negative is the music.
