The reporting being done by the media at the moment is absolutely doing my head in. I am not anti-media or covid denying in the slightest, but the media has a LOT of pull at the moment and their reporting over the past week has been so misleading, particularly the headlines.
ālockdown until septemberā - this is highly unlikely to mean the lockdown rules we are under at the moment will last until September, but itās not unreasonable to think that there will be some restrictions/rules regarding things like social distancing, masks etc. Itās likely itāll be much much lighter than where we are now.
āBoris refuses to rule out lockdown ending in Marchā - they interviewed him and asked when lockdown is ending and if it will be in March, he answered by simply (and correctly) saying he couldnāt give an exact answer on that, it was dependent on a lot of variables.
This one is annoying me the most at the moment- every single day the press ask Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock when lockdown will end, and because they canāt give an exact answer, the media reports that itās going to be extended/will go on forever
āpatients in Israel die after 1st doseā - aka very elderly, frail patients who have contracted covid shortly after (or even immediately prior) to vaccination so there wasnāt enough time for them to build the required immune response and antibodies.
