No Idea, the reporter literally just heard it announced as her report finished..

Fuming. Rang my gp on Friday as noticed a funny growth type thing on my skin that wasn't there before. I had to send photos as they're still not doing many face to face appointments. Get a call back on Monday saying the doctor would like to see me. Doctor has no idea what it is but is concerned enough to give me an urgent 2 week referral to dermatology to make sure it's nothing sinister and because I have leukemia they can't be too careful. Dermatology rang me this evening to tell me they've got no appointment as not up and running properly after covid. Not going to get appointment within 2 weeks! Am awaiting call back from PALS tomorrow as I'm not happy

I can't believe the gifted bikes is 50/50 😲

Imo it's the stupidest idea for quite some time, if you're overweight it's probably far better and more comfortable to go for a brisk walk. Going from little exercise to riding a bike regularly doesn't seem that realistic. Also if someone's given it for free / discounted there's even more chance that it just sits unused because they haven't invested in it themselves and people sadly just don't value free stuff. Or maybe I'm too judgemental and the people I know irl aren't representative. I know so many that have bought bikes to get fit and they end up gathering dust after a few rides. We're not far away from September now and it's a world of difference cycling in windy, wet and cold days compared to the summer.

I can't see many overweight people using them either ,if you're that overweight and struggle to walk there's no way you'd have the stamina for a bike you'd probably have a heart attack with exertion.

Hope you're not kept waiting too long for peace of mind if nothing else. They've announced here they're restructuring the health service certain hospitals will be doing certain procedures so they can get things moving asap ,the waiting lists are miles long it's terrible for people waiting to be seen..

I think the only people buying them will be people wanting a bike upgrade...

Must be a regional thing - very few masks being worn by staff in my local shops...

really ? How weird. I’m in the south east and all the supermarkets I’ve been in staff have been wearing them.
I live in London and I haven't really seen many people wearing them lately but before it was made mandatory they were wearing them 😐

I'm in East Yorkshire and went in to the town centre on Tuesday. I'd say you were definitely the odd one out if you weren't wearing a face covering. The majority of people were complying

Same here in South Yorkshire, Since the new rule came in I think I've probably seen 4 people without one. Deffo be the odd one out not wearing one.
Im dreading going out and forgetting a mask 😂

In our shopping centre the security staff were stopping people without a mask and were not permitted inside. They had disposable masks to sell and £1 donation to charity if you needed one. Sounds fair to me .

If they cannot offer you an appointment (face to face or telephone) within the two week cancer referral pathway you are well within your rights to ask the hospital to do all they can to get you an appointment, be that at another hospital or with another consultant. They don’t tell you this though. I would also be ringing the appointments department daily and also contact the GP secretary to get it chased from that end too. I have recently had to do this with a family member, we were told last week there were no appointments and after I did the above we miraculously got an appointment yesterday (telephone appointment) and the ball rolled so to speak in regards to tests etc.

Gosh, hope everything is ok.

Have you tried calling your consultant's secretary or your nurse at the hospital?

Called this morning. Was assured I'm on a 2 week wait however they were unable to offer me an appointment over the phone. I'll be ringing again in a few days

Wonder are they doing a briefing today or just a statement about the quarantine change ,Boris has said the virus is bubbling in 30 areas of the UK you'd think they'd let people know whats going on..

Gyms can’t open in Scotland until the 14th of September! Such a long time since the ones in England opened last week, wonder why she made the decision to wait so long ..

Just read that Hancock wants all GP appointments to be via phone or video from now on unless there's a compelling reason as to why you need a face to face appointment
