Consultant led care in pregnancy

Thanks all! Well I had my booking appointment last week, and I'm bang on 35 bmi like I thought - they weren't worried at all and I'm having midwife led care, turns out in Cornwall they won't refer you to consultants unless your BMI is 40 or above.

Only thing different is I have one consultant appointment further down the line to discuss birth as I had a pph last time so have to give birth on the labour ward and not midwife led, which tbh I'm not that bothered about as that's where I ended up last time and they were brilliant.

That’s great news for you and the appointment due to your previous pph is wise. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, I hope it goes well.

Thats great news about being mw led. I was consultant led for last pregnancy due to previous 4th degree tear and I barely saw the consultant.

Wishing you a great pregnancy
