Thanks for starting a new thread.

I’ll leave the recaps to someone else as I’ll only start ranting! 😄

But I’m just popping this from the last thread for newcomers. Perhaps someone can post the Shattered Lives podcast link also?

Crime World is discussing the court case against McGregor and James Lawrence. Trigger warning of all trigger warnings as they do detail the (alleged) attack.
The tampon issue was noted

Recap:
The tampon story was, unfortunately, true 😪 recap from 2018.

Mcgregor is seeing his day in court and we are here for it!
It's written all over his face, he couldn't silence this one with money.
The judge said it himself, they effectively grape her. I'm loving the judges bluntness.

Im gonna be stuck to this more than depp-v-heard trial.

Wishing Nikita all the strength of every Mnà in ireland 🇮🇪

I always wanted the tampon to be a sick lie.
Now I know that the rest of what happened is true. Not that I had any doubt, but you know.

I hope she gets some form of closure and gets some peace in her life.

I also hope anyone who’s gone through it finds the strength to come forward. These ‘men’ need to be stopped.

Sorry if it it’s covered but why does the victim in both RTE and Mirror have 2 different surnames?

I hope she gets justice and this is the beginning of the end of him.

Asked this at and or other thread so just posting here again.

Hi all
Can someone explain to me why this wasn't trialled as a criminal case in the first place?

She is a brave brave woman.

I wanted it to be a sick urban legend too, but by God if it doesn’t prove beyond all reasonable doubt to me that it’s true.

hiya, I answered you there but will delete that one.

I had a quick look at both, and Hand and Ní Láimhín are the same name, just different language versions. Chances are the court case is lodged in one variant and she is popularly known by the other.
That’s not uncommon among those of us who use the leagan Ghaeilge. I include both in my passport in the Also Known As section.

The Director of Public Prosecutions chose not to prosecute 🙄

I wonder if there is enough if a public outcry will the DPP change their mind?

Would love to know this aswell. Would love to be a fly on the wall around the table in his house tonight. I bet you he told them it was lies and know they have a Dr confirm her injuries.

I would love to know why the DPP didn’t press charges and also if the case goes in Nikita’s favour in the civil case, would the DPP re look at it from a criminal standpoint again??

What age is their girl? She must have been born or quite young in 2018. Imagine yer man doing all sorts when your at home with 2 kids/babies.

Yes I can imagine him telling Dee the tampon story was rumours. They must constantly be fighting. He was probably raging when he got home.
