Every single story is now an ad, can't even bake for her kids or play a game without tagging an affiliate link on it.
Also the slyness, posting things and making you click the link to find out what the name is (the cleaning product for the patio at the weekend - I presume it was "wet and forget" but I'm not clicking her links so she can make money on anything I buy on Amazon for ages. (Notice how she hasn't mentioned that that happens)
Used to enjoy her content, her day to day life and renovations but its now constant gifted expensive items, and now the constant amazon affiliate links.

Lots of grifters being given Ryobi tools this week so assume she did too and not the lie that the creepy thin man brought it instead of grass seed. Why would you buy that and not know what it does “a brush thing”? Lies again.

Funny how she doesn't apply the same logic to her own freebies, isn't it? She has to earn a living but doesn't feel the same about the companies she's picking the pockets of.

I think influencers are beginning to realise that they're running out of road and people are getting fed up, so they're just trying to milk as much as the can before it all ends and they have to go and get an actual job.
I used to love interiors content in the early days when it was all just "look at my lovely house" (yeah I know most of it was gifted and they didn't have to be upfront about it) But now it's just endless selling. I try to avoid companies that gift to influencers - why should I pay money to a company that gives to those who can well afford to buy themselves. Nope.

Thanks for the new thread.

She just sounds more and more greedy, grabby, egotistical and ridiculous with every post. When she was a working dentist with a home reno account, she had the balance right. There was the odd sponsorship of gifted item and the funny bits she did were genuinely funny because they felt spontaneous. She didn't have hours to plan, film, edit, so the odd few talky stories or whatever sometimes went a bit awry. Then she decided to do the influencing thing FT and it became a monster that took over her life. Showing the children, filming elaborate ad campaigns, more sponsored content than non-sponsored, accruing more and more stuff, more and more contracts but it's not enough, it just makes her want more. I'm not here to bash a woman doing well, I love to see it, but Katie has sold her soul. I wonder wtf happened and whether she has moments of clarity where she sees it too.

Hair & me have sponsored the latest Substack & she’s now advertising another hair product, make it make sense. Also wearing her rings while kneading dough is just icky

I assume the answer is “I lost weight” which begs the question - is life not as great if you’re bigger Katie? Seems the opposite of what you’ve been trying to sell us for years.

So the custom bespoke curtain is a bit long in my opinion but the best bit, doesn't appear to close properly? Yanking them and still a gap at the top whilst fluffing the bottom closed? Not a very good advert for the lady who probably did ad/pr discount for a tag

I know! Ridiculous.. she yanked them back and forth but there was still a huge gaping bit at the top! 😂. I see she posted a video of her room this morning and they’re still sitting really badly, where she’s tried to pull them over to avoid the gap! What a joke.
