Morning. My children have started school after a few years being home-educated however the first week in and they’re both come home unwell. My daughter is complaining of a headache & sore throat, my son has a cold. They both started with temperatures.

since Wednesday my daughter has complained of a headache towards the end of school day, but she’s now come out with the croaky throat, yesterday I did request a Covid test to come to house as I’m worried it’s a symptom.

Would you still send your children to school, just out of curiosity? I’m really unsure what to do. My little boy seems fine in himself, medicine has regulated there temperatures but I’m still conscious of the cold/sore throat.
Thanks all.

Take rapid tests. You can pick them up from pharmacies for free.
I would send them if they are negative, it will be a big adjustment for them but they will get used to it. Theyre probably just tired and feeling run down.

I you can get the rapid tests too now? But if your doing the send off ones I would take the test and keep her home till you’ve had the results? Just to be on the safe dodge? I’m sure that’s what the school would want you to do - if you let them know your self isolating till you get the results they can put you under a different code in the school register.

If you are awaiting a covid test/ results you must isolate until you receive the results.
Schools are germ filled, if your children have never been in that environment then their immune systems will take some time to adjust.
