Astonishing

Is there a song that you ever hear or remember and just completely remember your childhood?
This is mine!!
We were talking about it earlier and my husband mentioned it and it just made me remember being on holiday with all my family and partaking in dancing

Oh yeah Klingons on the starboard bow! Reminds me of being in the arcades in Skegness when I was a kid

The Superman song by Black Lace reminds me of every school disco circa 1987.

Both of these songs give me so much nostalgia for birthday parties of my childhood!

This. I remember it playing in Woolworths. Also Superman by Black Lace, The locomotion by Kylie and The only way is up by Yazz were played a lot too.

Superman by Black Lace was always on at new year parties when I was a kid! And the Time Warp and Jive Bunny megamixes.

Ah, they don’t make them like that anymore!

Cotton eyed Joe reminds me of parties as a kid. I had it on tape on repeat constantly! Must have driven my family bonkers

Ahhh I love this!!! NEVER think of that song

My family had the Black Lace 'Party Party' album which was played at every party. Any song from that reminds me of childhood parties.

Also a few years ago me and some friends had a great night trying to remember the words to Spitting Image The Chicken Song without googling

Macarana, Ketchup Song, Pizza Hut, Cha Cha Slide and 5678 were at all the disco parties.
And basically anything steps or S Club 7, I remember all having to learn the dance for Reach! at school for some reason

I read this thread the other day after too much wine and have just remembered it today after a bit of wine, This is my kind of thread!

Star Trekkin is my gauge to how too drunk I am, if I listen to that I’m in trouble. See also- the Haven Tiger Club song.

And as I said to my son the other day- when I go on Strictly I’m doing thé Cha Cha Slide as my Couples Choice dance
