I'm shocked they were dropped. I didn't follow the case fully but it did seem like he set it up himself and was trying to be a 'martyr' of sorts, judging by his Twitter.

Looks like he paid ten grand (his bond money) to the state of Chicago and the charges disappeared. šŸ˜
Theyā€™re all denying it.
I wonder if trial by social media fucked it all up a bit.

I heard an interview where they said the charges weren't dropped because he was innocent but because he had never committed a crime before and had agreed to do community service
