Carrie Hope Fletcher #107 All this dancing must be a killer, only five quid to be a seat filler

The Calamity Jane tour has started and on average it's getting about 3 star reviews.
They have just done a performance at Big Night of Musicals in Manchester which should air on TV in April.

Carrie seems to have attached herself to co-star Vinny. No surprises there.

Mention of Mabel seems to have disappeared for now. It's unknown if she is currently with Carrie, staying at home with Joel or being looked after by a grandparent/babysitter.

From what we have seen online, Carrie's dancing as CJ is clunky, out of time and awkward.

I was speaking to a friend about CJ today and they asked me who was in it. I should have checked before I WhatsApped them because my phone had changed it to Care Home Fletcher.

Its not got much better then

The fact the leading man does most of the curtain call routine, and does it well. But the leading lady doesn't, does seem unusual. She is behind everyone else, she is just not as on point as the leading lady should be. She looks more like a guest stat for the evening, rather than the regular lead.

You know what, if Carrie just held her hands up and said 'yeah I'm in a very privileged position, and dancing has never been my strong suit, but I'm trying to learn' I'd say fair enough. But she constantly boasts about lack of training, not doing any training, and on top of that. Not looking after her health or diet to be in good shape for what she does have to do. So no, she doesn't deserve any slack to be given.

It doesn't help either that she looks a bit smug at times like she is killing it combined with other moments of palpable relief. It's quite jarring.

It reminds me of when Ann Widdecomb was in Strictly even though she couldn’t dance, couldn’t keep up and was just pretty much dragged and thrown about the stage by Anton Du Beke who remained a true professional showman 🤣

She always looks like she’s about to trip up too! I find myself watching everyone BUT her. Vinny looks relaxed and knows the choreography, like any professional performer. I saw her climbing onto the chair at the musicals event. Bloody hell, she looked so uneasy, then like she was having a tit, and just in general, not good enough

I went to see Calamity Jane last week before I even knew who Carrie was then I came across these threads!

The show was ok, she sings quite nicely in it but the dancing wasn't good at all and she looked knackered after each dance. She got big cheers from the audience every time she sang and at th end. The other actors on stage were talented, dancing, acting and playing instruments.

Her and the leading guy had chemistry and a couple of big kisses which looked VERY intimate and I actually thought they must be having a fling until I saw here she was married!!

I can’t get over how awful the costume is, so one tone, big and bulky. Does her no favours!
Watched deadwood diaries and was not surprised by the amount of vinny content and fawning.

The costume is terrible and I can't believe how big her feet look even from such a distance.

The way she flumps herself across to the side of the stage and then blatantly waits there for Cousin Vinny to arrive, grab her and pull her around like a rag doll; and then she goes over to the side again and steps up on to the piece of staging to get the feck out of the way while Vinny and the proper dancers go at it like synchronised spinning tops :ROFLMAO: brilliant. The director has even made some poor bloke leave the dance to stand up on the raised bit with her so she doesn't look like the only one standing off side :ROFLMAO:

I'm just back home from seeing Hadestown again, honestly the sheer talent and energy on display in that show in terms of the music, singing and clever dancing is just immense. And yet they make it look effortless. Absolutely flawless. No way is Carrie getting a part in the West End again, there's just too many young stars on their way up as well as older leading ladies like Rachel Tucker (43) showing Carrie up in every single theatre skill possible.

Is Carrie/Calamity in a frock at all in this production?

Is 'A Woman's Touch' (Calamity's cabin scene with Katie), the evening dance scene or the wedding included? I wondered what she looked like in a different costume and if it was any more flattering 😁

The film ends with the wedding so I thought Carrie might be in a dress by the end.

Sorry to have asked again, I think it was buried on the last thread!

I am just here to say I am this woman, and she is me - my face looks like this 90% of the time when Carrie is involved.

I’ve just seen a video of the full performance at the AO Arena. It starts brilliantly, great dancing, energy, talented musicians and fantastic singing… the Carrie clumsily appears on top of a piano. Not sure if we can post names of pages with less than a specific number. Hint, their TikTok account, is the start of a McFly song written for Gi, and ends with the place you go to see a musical or play.

Yes, she wears a floral dress with Katie but doesn’t have it on for long - a baggy fit long dress. Also yes, wedding scene where she wears a more fitted style white wedding dress and jacket but has this on for less than 5 minutes then changes back into normal costume.

Never been happier! For context I got blocked ages ago. Wasn't able to follow on any other accounts (as I'm assuming it's linked to my email). I've recently had to make a new one and decided to try it...it worked!

I dropped of the threads when I wasn't able to see for myself what was happening. I was using the insta spy for a while but it wasn't great.

Now I can keep up properly again lol x

I was just wondering why the upcoming Beggars Call MT "Lab" doesn't have a session on nepotism.

It is after all, the thing that the whole Fletcher clan do know a lot about and do frequently enjoy.

How weird that they've left it off the schedule.
