Carpet cleaner/hoover recommendations

I actually got this vax hoover Monday! Still in the box though as my husbands lazy but I can’t wait to use it

We have the black Vax. It's easy to use, quickly refreshes the carpets and fluffs them up again like new.

I ended up risking it and put it in the washing machine and it seems fine. Apart from a few lines on the side I put on the heated clothes dryer but at least I can put that side face down

Does anyone have recommendations for a carpet cleaner that I can also use in a sofa? (Sofa is velvet) The sofa has always been covered due to having pets so it's perfect condition underneath but it has a faint smell of pet. My cat unfortunately has a habit of weeing where she shouldn't and I don't think that's this as it's very faint maybe had been cleaning herself on the sofa or something but I want to clean it obviously and don't want to ruin the sofa

I've only had my carpet just under 2 years but I would like to get a carpet cleaner/hoover to freshen up the carpets.

Can I have some recommendations please. I was thinking of the upright Vax dual power pet advance carpet cleaner

Whatever you do don’t get the vax power compact carpet cleaner, it is RUBBISH!

I don’t know how we manage it but there is only 2 of us at home, we don’t wear our shoes indoors, clean spills immediately/hoover pretty much daily yet our carpet still looks so dirty!
