She just loves the sound of her own voice so it’s any excuse for a rant. She isn’t saying anything important.

The genital contours were probably photoshopped out of the underwear ads for legal (‘obscene publications’) reasons, not because the Kardashians wanted them to be.

I disagree that she isn’t saying anything important. The stuff about how porn influences teenage expectations of sex is real and a concern. However, I do agree with the PP who said that her point is lost in her hideous delivery, valid or not.

I didn't hear what she said about porn and I very much agree that porn and such easy access has really been hugely problematic in more ways than we can count. However, does she think that the Kardashians are the 'system' to rally against? I'm not defending them and I see them as pretty much a waste of space but if you think about it, they had fame hungry parents (their Mom stage managing a sex tape, for instance), their every move is scrutinised and so on. I don't think they are the cause of problems, I think they're a by product. What's to say that they also don't feel pressure and insecurity? Maybe that's why they resort to photoshop, etc. Does she think they invented airbrushing? Also she's expecting a bit much if she thinks reality stars are going to change the world.

Yeah, I've just googled pics of women's knickers (as you so) - they're all very smooth and, well, neutral.
I agree porn is a massive problem but really, the amount of photoshop and filters in the rest of the Kardashian/Fox pic is no different to the knicker area, so I still don't get shy she's so enraged.

She did say that she didn’t think that the K’s were the root of it. I think it was a classic Hirons stream of consciousness where she has one thought and then another and there is a link between the topics. She just isn’t always clear on the distinction between correlation and causation.

oh yeah agree with that bit. I meant the ranting about kardashians - like someone else said I assume the photos are airbrushed to high heaven because their vag’s were probably showing.

I can’t listen to her even when she talks sense because of the volume and how much she loves listening to herself.

I would imagine it's oversharing even by Kardashian standards to not airbrush her bits out. Besides, the Kardashians are hardly noted for the au natural look anyway. Remember the consternation when Grandma K accidentally shared an un filtered pool pic of one of them last year.

I also do think advertising standards mean the pics can't be too graphic. But let's not let common sense stop Cazza ranting...

I mean, it’s completely unnatural and bizarre. Massive thigh gap and shapeless crotch, indeed like a Barbie. Only Megan’s seems more natural. And Khloe kept going on about how hot they are, like, that’s your sister 😩

Underwear ad made for the male gaze tbh 🤢

It is completely bizzare but it's even more bizarre that women who label themselves feminists start sharing pictures pointing out other women's genitalia. Its weird.

We absolutely need to have these discussions surrounding unattainable beauty standards, photoshop, social media and the effects that can have on a wider society, mental health and relationships. Particularly in teenagers and young adults. However we can absolutely do all that without having to start share pictures of one women's body and start pointing and laughing.[/QUOTE]

I don't know if y'all have heard about the issue with deviant skincare and Esther Olu (@themelaninchemist) but I highly doubt Caroline will say something. Only making it a point if it fits her agenda..

So, she (?) formulated this deviant woman’s products and then wasn’t paid for it, is that right?
Yeah that AND Deviant didn't respond for 48 days regarding the FDA - who were threatening legal action regarding a regulated ingredient that had been sent by Deviant to the chemist. I think.

Poor Esther. I wonder if Cazza is going to brush it under the rug.

Btw, it annoys me that she is selective with subtitles in her stories. She doesn’t include it most of the time 😒 I’m deaf and I don’t keep up with her stories often because of this.
