Carbytobarbie

First post I’m new here and only came across this thread after googling her name. I have never followed her but she wrote comments in Amber Gills Instagram about her new promotion of some weight loss journey. Her comment wasn’t that bad apart from making big assumptions which I asked how she knows what Amber is going to do, a few of us asked her if she gives the same outrage to influencers who promote juice cleanses etc.
And she was talking about negatively promoting weight loss, someone asked her why she uses the name “carbytobarbie” if diet culture is damaging.
She went on a tirade! Called people names and then deleted her comment and tried to comment again being a cow.
Then within 5 minutes I’m recovering DM’s from faceless accounts calling me allsorts, reading this thread I believe she’s behind them.

She seems very angry and is against anyone who doesn’t agree with her.

Whatever she promotes clearly isn’t healthy our positive since she comes across
She’s really horrible. She does all these things calling out people. But always contradicts herself with dieting Covid mental health every thing.
And yes her name is hilarious when she’s always dumping on people about toxic diet culture.

Yeah her name made me laugh especially when she seems to be so against “diet culture” but is quite clearly image obsessed herself.
I find these “non influencer” influencers are actually worse than influencers because it’s all a facade to look real & relatable and try to distance themselves from your standard influencer.
She was very nasty in the comments & it really showed her character.

😂 😂 Who put 20p in the twit?

Here she goes, mouthing off about that PT and saying how disgusting it is that he's mentioned covid deaths. Did she not a few months ago dismiss the covid deaths as not important because her mEnTAl hEaTh needed to go out, socialise and go to the gym.

This woman is unbelievable on how much she changes her narrative.

To be fair, James Haskell is a massive dick. He spouts more tit than carby.
I don't dispute that - the guys a cock BUT Carbie was also saying those deaths were irrelevant a few weeks ago. She can't keep an opinion any longer than a man or a weight loss 🤣

I’ve followed the woman two years and it absolutely baffles me that in that entire time she’s gone to the gym, walked 20-30k steps a day and yet.... she’s still the same size as she was when I first started following her. Her ‘going out’ clothes are all too small, which is why she wears vests under those shirts because she can only button them halfway. The bras she wears must be so tight too, nothing about that foot long cleavage is natural, poor cow must struggle for breath

The Fitbit massively over estimates but she is fat so burns more easily. My friend who’s bigger has one and burns twice the amount that I do

I had a Fitbit and then switched to an Apple Watch and the cal burn on the Fitbit was out by about 1500cals (I was the same weight, doing the same workouts)

Yeah! True. I do think the Apple Watch is much more accurate

Same, I’d never use the cal burn to help determine my daily allowance. Obviously you can start with a higher amount of cals and work your way down, just depends on how patient you are. I think the cal counting clubs like to have you there as long as possible so they start you on a high Daily number. Slow and sustainable is the way to go although I’ve spoke to many drs at the hospital and they advised me to do low cal for quick results and then increase so you’re at 1-2lb a week loses (I’m very overweight so advice may change for others. This advice was personalised for me).

I think fitbit covers your BMR? It's ridiculous the difference to other fitness watches. People use it as an excuse to pig out. I reached step goals changing gears in my car.

She's not losing any weight because she's eating every calorie her fitbit tells her she's burned so she's over eating. And I'd bet my house on her calculating her tdee as her being an athlete because she does youtube workouts.

It was giving me something like 5000 cals a day burned. Now I’m tall and weigh a lot and I workout but no way do I burn that many cals! Even if that was BMR it would give you a daily cal allowance of about 4500 which is waaay off. I like smart watches for step count and a bit of accountability but I take the stats with a pinch of salt. The Apple Watch doesn’t count steps if you drive (although I drive an automatic now so maybe that’s why?!)

My fitbit shows a slightly increased calorie burn but not a huge difference from my TDEE based on no activity at all. Sedentary lifestyle selected on all the calcs. Im lazy. I walk the dog, thats my only activity.

I dont think mine has ever showed a huge amount unless Ive gone for a run. Pays to be lazy with the old fit bit clearly 😂

She must be eating a ridiculous amount to be that size while active. I’m very active (run about 50 miles a week and have horses, pre covid used to do swimming and go to the gym) the amount I have to eat to keep my BMI around 20 is ALOT. She must be overeating by a large amount very frequently. She hasn’t changed at all in years.
im a huge believer in exercising for reasons other than weight loss but her posting her calorie counter meals, calorie burn etc implies that she still wants hers to be a weight loss account.
