I tried it but found the conversations too awkward 😂😅 a lot of people just gave one word answers or didn’t put in much effort. I also live in a small town so there weren’t many new people. Got fed up and deleted it

Said this on another thread. Tried it and met up with some Disney fanatic I had nothing in common with, I was just trying to be more open minded and less of a bitch. We just lived close to each other. IShe ended up ghosting me for no reason at all but was still following me on social media when I had it. Unfollowed her and deleted her number and regret telling her stuff. I can never click with anyone on there or any apps. It seems to just be girls who want to add to their massive circle and put in no effort. I can't tell if the BPD makes this hard for me or if its something else.

Got stood up by another bumble BFF date waiting in the pub. First time that's happened to me ever. Just had some drinks alone and went home 😂 she gave me some fake ass story and tried to rearrange they were trans and I think they were scared. I don't give a fuck if you're trans or not. You've lost the chance at a bomb ass friendship.

I used this while I was at uni because I wanted to make more friends who I could go out with. It took some time but I found a great girl from my uni, we went out a lot and became really close! She was so lovely, but sadly I graduated and she stayed at uni so we naturally drifted apart :(

but I could still message her and I know she’d be down to hang out if I’m in the city!

Agree. I've had longer, more interesting conversations on here. 😂

I’ve played with the idea but I feel like I’d be to scared to swipe ‘yes’ on people so what would be the point?
I got like that but then just thought fuck it. You get used to it in the end 😂 It did feel weird at first because a lot of people just liked your picture and swiped based on looks rather than matching interests.

Has anybody used bumble bff? I’ve just signed up as I’d like to meet some new people.
My social circle is small and I work a lot.

However I’m terrified of swiping “yes” on anybody 😂. So really what is the point 🤦🏼‍♀️

Anyway have you tried it and has it worked?

I tried it during the first lockdown as I was working from home and thought well it might be nice for something positive to come out of lockdown but literally nobody spoke on there 😂 I was starting to get a bit offended thinking I was the problem but I’d message people, they’d put no effort in with the conversations or they’d just leave me hanging 🙈
Tempted to try it again as I’m still working from home and always up for chatting/meeting new people especially as I’m at the age a lot of my friends are getting married, having kids etc so new friends would be nice I guess

Hi everyone! I’ve had the app for a while but haven’t met anyone (due to Covid lockdown etc), then stopped using it and completely forgot about it until I saw this!
I downloaded it because I really want to expand my social circle - maybe il open the app again to try it out.

Well I’m giving it a try and even swiping right! 😱

Not sure what I’d do with a match. It’s all so bloody awkward 🥴

I’ve tried Peanut which is similar but aimed at mums /new mums
Got ghosted as soon as I mentioned meeting up, lots of hard work trying to make conversation with others or matching with people who never said hi back so sacked it off 😂
All I wanted was for my little lockdown baby to have some play dates 🥺

I might give it a try on swiping right 😂

It’s just such an unnatural way to meet people. I want to socialise more but fuck me this is awkward!

And is it even worth paying for? I only jave the basic version

I used Bumble BFF about a year ago when I moved to a new town, and spoke to two really nice girls but we never met up, we still follow each other on social media etc., but no longer talk - the conversations sort of just awkwardly fizzled out and neither one of us reached out again 😅

I wouldn't bother paying again. I paid just because it was my first time trying it. If you've ever used tinder it works the same way, you're just paying to swipe unlimited.

I live in a city where there isn;t many people using it. I've matched with 3 people but they are all so far away and I find it too awkward to initiate a conversation

I think it will be deleted, just not for me
