TW crime, missing children, possible sexual abuse

Has anyone else read the news? Thankfully the young girl has been returned to her family, but I can’t make head nor tails of what actually happened, who is this male Adam?! Why is there so much spectator footage of him and the woman?

I’m wondering if this man is a known sex offender in his community and that’s why? Is it just me or does none of the story make any sense? Especially in a pandemic?!

I did think it odd that people (or at least a person) took time to film them standing eating near McDonalds, and that seems to have been key to them being identified and found?

Very bizarre and lots going on in the background I'll bet. I'm still worried for that poor little girl, something isn't right. Hope she's ok.

Glad it’s not just me being thick! The only thing I could think of was maybe he’s a known offender in his community hence people taking pictures?

It scared me as it reminded me of poor Tia Sharpe in Croydon.

I thought it just became quite a big story as the police we desperately searching for the girl and I must admit my thoughts were that this won’t end well, why have they disappeared with that girl over night. I was so relieved when they found her and I hope no harm came to her. I’m not sure whether we’ll hear much more of it

I was reading a lot of the comments on social media yesterday and it seems that the woman involved is known to do drugs and has had her children taken from her. I watched the Facebook Live videos she did with Tilly before they disappeared and they made me worry. I don’t want to be judgemental of people I don’t know but I cant help but wonder if there’s a wider welfare issue here, I don’t understand why on earth the girls parents would trust that woman to take care of her. Being neighbours they must know a bit about her and just from what I saw on the videos I would never in a million years have left her in charge of a child.
I sincerely hope that Tilly is a happy child and is safe now.

I thought it very odd there was footage, especially during these times (god I hate that phrase) and why would the parents let her go off like that if she’s a known drug dealer.

It does ring bells of the Sharpe case, perhaps after a monetary reward?

I sadly thought it was more likely to be the woman next door “offering” a child she had contact with to an abusive partner. Like the lost prophets thing 🤮

Apparently it was stills from CCTV, the day she was taken, they found them out shopping the following day when when a member of the public recognised them and called police.

Very strange story though, I’m not sure we’ll ever find out what actually happened.
