Bridezilla Experiences

Quite a few but the best (or should that be worst?) was where the wedding invitations were sent out with a colour palette as an instruction for what colour(s) your outfit/accessories should be. Alongside this was a list of places where you could/should buy a gift - nothing below £250. Bridezilla also set up a paypal donations thing to fund the hen-do in Tenerife but it couldn't have raised very much as the hen-do took place in her back garden.

This couple were unemployed and lived in social housing for at least 5 years before they got married. One of the expected wedding gifts was an intensive driving course. The "ultimate" gift was....wait for it... they were looking for a surrogate.

I don't think they had many guests at the wedding and the marriage lasted about 2 years.

Actually, no. Never. Most of my friends were married when I met them and I've never even been engaged.

We went for a menu tasting at our venue
We sat on a table with other couples who were getting married in the same month as us which was fun and insightful
I got asked what our wedding Colours are? I just said I don’t have any
The venue and our table was dressed up to look like a wedding and it was tasteless and tacky …you know those pillars in the middle of the table with feathers and crystals dangling off them and then all the brides gushed at how they were having the exact design for their day
I just said we were keeping the tables without any decorations apart from a candle …even then I think no one will give a shit
There was one bride who put on her invites that no one could wear orange, no patterns and must wear black tie style gowns.
I told her she was being silly and a bridezilla.
She also wanted a snow machine
But the other brides all thought this was perfectly acceptable.

One of my oldest best friends turned into a monster
Back story …her relationship has always been horrendous and toxic so when he finally proposed (to win her back) idk she went crazy to compensate for marrying an arsehole

she invited 50 girls to her hen do
She was absolutely vile to me and another good friend
She spent £££ on the hen do and wedding
She literally changed over night

spoiler alert … her marriage has always been up and down and he’s now left her but wants to continue a relationship

My sister has been a bridezilla since the second she got engaged.

She has planned everything months ahead of needing to and therefore has too much time on her hands and keeps finding new things to stress about.

The florist is a friend of ours and she confessed to another friend that she is an absolute nightmare and is messaging weekly!!!!

She doesn't get married until December but has already submitted her ceremony plan to the registrars. She sent it the same week as my friend who was getting married in July!!

At the moment it is weekly messages pushing me to organise her hen do.

She is inviting people to the wedding that she hasnt seen or spoken to in years. I can only assume to bump the guest numbers up (lord knows why when weddings are fucking expensive)

Keeps saying me and the other bridesmaids can have our hair and make up however we like. But every style I suggest she says no! If she knows what she wants just fucking tell us that's what we are having!!

Prior to her tasting menu, she asked a few of us what our favourite wedding breakfasts had been. The general consensus was pie for a winter wedding is lush. And she didn't even taste it despite the fact that the restaurant attached to her venue being known for their pies

Her and her fiance just treated their tasting as a free meal out and they ordered loads of things they weren't even considering serving their guests due to the cost, because it was free!

How is your sisters relationship with her fiancé? I tend to think the more drama, the more bonkers the bride becomes, the more fuss and inviting randoms equals a dodgy relationship/rocky marriage.

I have whinged about my sister a lot across the forum haha.

She is VERY highly strung in general. Her fiance is lovely but a bit of a wuss. He has 3 sisters and was bought up by single mum. It's made him quite "in tune" with women and at the start of their relationship he was very attentive and a but too full on imo.

Now he is a typical lazy bloke but thinks money spent on occaisons makes up for it. My sister definitely rules the roost.

She spends money like its going out of fashion but he isn't allowed to do activities thar cost money bEcAuSe We ArE sAvInG fOr A wEdDiNg

Very much double standards

I disagree with a lot of my sisters choices in general. Her biggest issue is she won't listen to any negativity. Even if it is polite and "have you thought of..." she just shuts down and won't engage. Sees it all as a personal attack

She's very selfish and childish. Not a good combo in general but made worse when a wedding is involved!
