Breast job

Hi!

So I have enough money for a breast job which I really want to try and make an enquiry for next year to see if I can get booked in privately to have done at whatever point in time (Covid lockdown pending!)

Something I’ve wanted done really for the last 7 years but wanted to save/know in my head it’s what I want.

Really just after some help as in has anyone on here had one, any useful information or guidance you can pass onto me, who to look into to doing it, none obvious questions to ask the good the bad from recovering etc etc.

Things you might have wished you’d known before/earlier.

TIA

I had mine done around 7 years ago and I have had no problems at all since, I know everyone is different but from my experience it wasn't as bad as I expected. I stayed in Hospital over night then took 10 days holiday from work, I had my implants under the muscle so I expected it to be a lot more painful that it actually was. I couldn't lift my arms up and didn't wash my hair for the first bit after the surgery, also a good tip is to get one of the pregnancy pillows to help you sleep on your back and get front fastening sport bras as you won't be able to reach behind.

I had mine done a while ago , when I was there the doctor said I needed an uplift too so I said okay add that in too . I didn’t do any research on lift cos I didn’t want too scare myself . Really wish I didn’t have the lift my boobs are perfect but lifts not good and leave such bad scars . I tell everyone don’t have the lift 😂

I’ve had mine done twice now. First time when I was 19, it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I went from being ironing board flat which really affected my confidence, to a C cup. I was really skinny back then so they looked natural and not too big.

I had my second one done a couple of years ago at 25 as I felt the shape didn’t really suit my body any more and they felt like two round things just stuck on! Went up to a DD and had partials (when they put a bit of the implant under the muscle) so they have a really nice natural ‘drop’ to them now. I’m really pleased with them!

My advice would be to prepare to not be able to do much for the first week or so - you can’t shower, can’t lift your arms up, need to sleep sitting up. It’s not painful but it can be uncomfortable and I found it a bit frustrating at times. Just be prepared to take it easy.

My biggest tip though would be to not compare other girls boob jobs. Both times I’ve looked at surgery forums/insta pages after my surgery and been upset wondering whether I should have gone bigger etc. Everyone is different and your surgeon will advise you on what will be best for you

It really depends on what you’re after - under muscle, over muscle, natural looking, slightly faker etc. I went quite big but they look super natural as they have dropped quite a lot (I was warned this). I have a feeling I may require an uplift in ten years if I want to down size.

One thing I will say is they are heavy, I cannot sleep without a wireless seam free bra on at night. Some women can just crack on without a bra... not me unless the clothes are tight fitting.

If you have small boobs things like remembering to put talc under your creases in the summer to stop sweating and then getting sore. Randomly I have to put deodorant in the middle between them as I smell of b.o there haha. I know this gross but honestly I never experienced any of that when they were smaller!!

I went to 38B to a 40F x

I had mine done around 11 years ago and I don’t regret it at all.

There was no pAin as such but I did feel sick for most of the following week and struggled to eat much. Think that was down to the meds rather than the procedure itself though.

My chest just felt heavy afterwards. You have to wear a sports from for 6 weeks minimum afterwards and how they look in the few months after you first get them done won’t be the final result.

I personally had overs and at the time liked the ‘faker look’ now I’m a little older I probably won’t have gone as large as I did. But back then I was a size 8/10 now I’m a 12/14 so they probably suit my shape more now in fairness.

I had mine done 4 years ago through Mya. Still happy with my decision. I had 375cc in hindsight wish I went abit smaller, but they can’t really predict what cup size you will come out with. My friend had 295cc and hers look bigger despite being the same size height and weight as me!

My surgeon said they don’t do fully under the muscle in this country unless it’s gender reassignment surgery or breast reconstruction surgery. So when people have under the muscle it’s actually class as partially under the muscle. So mine are partials. He initially wanted to do over the muscle which has a quicker recovery time and I already had breast tissue but he let me choose as I researched and found this option better.

I didn’t stay overnight as it was an additional cost. Had to stay for a few hours after the surgery to check everything was okay and then was allowed to leave. I stayed in a nearby hotel overnight though cause it was 3 hour drive home.

On Mya’s website they have a forum page which I found really helpful. People talked about their experiences and pictures etc.

I had 3 weeks off work. Took 2 weeks off and with my days off it worked out at 3. I’m glad I did cause I have a quite manual job with lifting things. If you do office type work you’ll be able to go back sooner!

My surgeon was Mr Traynor and was fab.

I still sleep in a sports bra aswell as like someone else has said mine do feel heavy and I don’t like them just there with no support😂 but I’m fine with this. Would rather keep them secure when I’ve paid for them haha. I was a 32B and now a 32F. They don’t look as big as they sound. He gave me the option between 300-400cc and I chose 375. Probably should of got around 325cc in hindsight x

Aww thank you all so much for your answers!
much appreciated.

I’m thinking of making an enquiry to my local spire hospital.

I guess im just a little worried as although I’ve tried reading up I’m not at all clued up to certain things, & tbh I think I’m going to do a lot more reading before I do enquire.

Already noting your points down about things, again thank you!! X

You’re doing the right thing by reading up, even though boob jobs are common it’s still surgery and a change to your body so it’s a big thing to think about. I’d recommend having consultations with a few different places to see who you get a good feel for. I went to MYA for my first and an independent surgeon local to me for my second, but I had lots of consultations at other places before I decided.

Ask away if you have any specific questions too!

I had mine done 4 years ago coming this jan, I got 450cc at mya. I was a 34b now I’m a 34E best thing I’ve ever done your in and out I’m sure they said
It only took 30mins! Only pain is you wake up and feel like a elephant is sat on your chest but painkillers work I went home about 4 hours after! Only bad thing I think about it is you have to sleep sat up afterwards for a few days I kept waking up sliding down the bed 😂 I wanted them done from 16 and didn’t get them done until I was 27 and really wish I’d done them earlier honestly you will love them!
