I was just coming to post to ask if we think there will be a trilogy special edition of Beartown, Us Against You and The Winner when the 3rd book is released? I'd like to buy hard backs for my bookcase. (Yes I know, I don't like hardbacks) 😍

I would love this! I have the first one on kindle, the second paperback, and have preordered the third so it'll be hardback and as I love the series so much I hate that I will have 3 different formats :ROFLMAO:

Did you watch the TV series? I haven't but am considering!

Haven't posted here for ages must have sensed Bear Town was being discussed 😂

Beartown senses tingling. I must have 🌠manifested🌠 you replying as the influencers say.

I havent actually watched the tv series. Im not a big tv person, years of social media have rotted my brain to the point I cannot concentrate to watch anything. Its really quite depressing.

Both my books are Kindle copies but the Beartown hardback is over £20.00 😳 but wondering if there will be deals maybe for all 3 when The Winners is released and all the books will match?

Hopefully I will finally finish Wrong Place Wrong Time in this thread 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for setting up a new thread @Caffeine Fiend although I may have to hide all your posts because you're a terrible influence on me with those 99p deals 😅

Ive actually been very restrained with the 99p deals since July. Id really like to make a dent in my TBR for the new year. Im managing about 10 books per month at the moment so I could easily half it before 2023. Would be nice to start fresher.

Continuing on with the CoHo chat from last thread, I started Reminders of Him today. I had to check the date of publication as it reads like a very cliche American style romance and I was surprised to see it’s her newest book! I guess I just thought considering all the hype around her it would be a bit better written. I have read a few of hers before but not recently. It’s getting better the more I get into it but I’m finding it hard to sympathise with the main character!!!

Its not the worst, I think I gave it 3.5 stars. Regretting You was *alot* better.

Seen quite a few Bookstagrammers saying The Night Road and Reminders Of Him are practically the same story but The Night Road is better.

Yes! I read The Night Road first and it was just so similar, but less good 😂 I am a Kristin Hannah stan though.

I absolutely loved Reminders of Him but I do put a lot of that down to the fact that I listened to it on Audible and the narrator was very emotive. I felt like it was the perfect voice for Kenna.

I’ve had to socialise this evening (boooo) and all I want to do is get back to The Stranding. I’m loving it. It’s almost like reading two separate books but it just works.

Just been to see Where the Crawdads Sing. Beautiful film. Really did the book justice. Absolutely loved it.

Thank you for the recommendation of How Green Was My Valley, which I thoroughly enjoyed

I’m about 25% in to The Last Thing to Burn by Will Dean and I think I might be an outlier on this thread… I’m not loving it? It’s a bit slow and repetitive for my liking, so far. I will continue though and see where it goes

I read it a few weeks ago on holiday as I had it on my tbr for ages and wanted a great read after a terrible one.

And I was disappointed. I don't know if it's because I read a lot of that genre, but to me I thought it was just OK. It wasn't as great and as thrilling as a lot of people make out both on here and on other groups I'm in.

I wasn’t overly impressed by it either tbh. It felt quite slow and repetitive to me and
I wanted a back story of Lenn and his mum that we never got, that would’ve been very interesting imo
I’ve also not thought about it since I finished it which is quite telling for me, has anyone read First Born though? That sounded good when I read the blurb
